Come What May, chapter 3
"Go get her if you want her so bad!" Matt blurted.
"She's a regular customer you know, and performer. Sings on Saturdays, but she wants to keep it on the low," Chris, my friend and the bartender said.
"Why on the down low?!"
"Her parents are on the rich side of society. They want her reputation to be high, and mighty, but she thinks differently about that. Anyway, if you want, I'm sure you can get a glipse of her show this coming Saturday night, at 9."
"Well, I'll see you guys Saturday night!"

I entered the bar that Saturday wearing my black suit, and stripped tie, which is my usual attire anyway. I found a table near the stage at the back of the bar, waiting to see Kalista. The lights grew dim, and a spotlight shown on the empty stage. She gracefully came out wearing a long red dress, with her hair up in curls. I thought I had died and gone to heaven! She sang, a jazz tunes called, "The Way You Look Tonight," and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love". After her performances, I stood up clapping, which made other people want to do so as well. She spotted me, smiled, and blushed. The announcer, thanked her and told everyone that it was karakoke time! I quickly jumped on the stage and had a plan.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen," I greeted, and received screams and whistles. I saw her sit down in a booth on the side wall of the bar with some friends.
"Since, Kalista has already set the jazz mood in full swing, I think I'll sing jazz songs as well!" She quickly looked at me, and rested her head on her chin with interest. First, I chose the song, "Fever," which definately represented how I felt when I saw her! After that performance, I sang, "You'll Never Find Another Love," and as I did, I looked at Kalista the entire time. She didn't take her eyes away from mine, and I felt as if we were connected. Hahaha, I also heard some women screaming with joy at my charm. When my song finished, I said on the microphone, "Kalista, those songs were for you. Would you like to join me for a date this lovely evening?!" The crowd began to yell, and cheered her to say yes. She was wide-eyed with surprise and rose her head off her chin. She shook her head, but finally agreed as her friends nudged her to go.
