Irish Rain, chapter 2

"Damn are we getting new students?" Jenny asked me.

"Well hell if I know. They look like brothers, by the way there so close." I replied to her.

They walked down the crowded hallway coming closer to us, but being stopped by some of the preppy popular chicks. I noticed the front of one of there shirts, it said 'I rock' on the front. Then he turned around, away from there attempt so talk to the new brothers. The back of his black shirt said, 'I play guitar!' in big white letters just like the front did.

"Did you see that! He plays guitar! We could always use another guitar!" I pestered Jenny.

"Come on dude, you said it yourself, we have to know someone, best friends.." She reminded me.

"Hmm... That's right. Well, theirs only one thing we can do in a situation like this!" I announced.

"Oh god... " Jenny sighed, but then smiled at my attempt to make her laugh. "And what would that be?"

"Uh... well... .. Umm... . I have no idea!" I said, stuttering at first, but ended in a announcer voice.

"Oh.. Great.." Jenny said being overdramatic on purpose.

Just then the bell rang and everyone began to rush to class, but me and Jenny took our sweet time.

"Hey dude, no don't go yet, I have to go to my locker." I told Jenny. She stayed with me and followed me to my locker. I twirled the combo on the lock and attempted to pull it open. It wouldn't budge.

"ERRRR!" I yelled out pulling my locker door and laughing. I let go and it slammed shut. We both looked at each other and ran off to class as security began to run up the stairs.

We burst into the door, out of breath, and began to walk to our seats. Our teacher was looking at us like we were out of our minds, but just then security barged in.

"WE DIDN'T DO IT." Me and Jenny shouted at the same time, getting some laughs from the rest of the class.

"You... .. I know it was you.. Trying to break the school's property." The old woman we call 'security' accused us.

"Do you have.. Any proof?" I shot back at her. With a snarl she left the classroom. Our teacher was still staring at us in shock.

"COFFEE! FOY!" He screamed.

"Yes, sir?" I said, emphasizing the word, 'sir'.

He looked up at us and just gave up, "Take your seats."

We both turned around and looked at our seats to see that they were occupied, by none other than the two boys we saw in the hall.

"But uh, there in our seats." Jenny told Mr. R. His name was too long, so he just went by Mr. R.

"Oh yes.." Oh no.. he was going to make us sit in the front... I knew it was coming.. But instead, he began moving people and then moved the guy in front of our seats and put us in our normal seats.. Right in the back left corner, farthest away from his desk. I don't know why I thought he would move us to the front.. He liked us in the back, that was he didn't have to deal with us as much.

"Ok.. Well, aside from that interruption," He glared at us, "We have some new students today." he motioned for them to stand up for a moment, and then to sit back down. I tuned him out, not really caring. Then decided to get out some paper. I scribbled a note to Jenny and passed it to her, then began to draw on another one.

Jenny had passed it back, reading, 'Uh.. I cant remember.' It first had read, 'What are there names?' From me.

The 'brothers' in front of us were to passing a note back and forth. Then the one sitting in front of me passed one back to me.

'Hey, you look pretty awesome. Do you and your friend want to come hand out with us today? - Mike'

So now I'm guessing that his name is Mike. I looked over to Jenny who leaned over to read it. She nodded.

'Ya of course. What's the other guys name?' I refolded it and threw it forward. I looked at the guy sitting in front of Jenny and noticed he was writing something. Interested, I carefully peered over his shoulder. It looked like lyrics or something.

Mike interrupted my looking when he passed me the note again.
'
Billie Joe' Was all it said.

'Billie Joe..' I thought to myself.
