Irish Rain, chapter 4
The rest of the day was pretty boring.. All four of us were always in the same classes and sat in the same seats in every one. So when the bell rang for school to get out it was so reliving.
Me and Jenny were walking to our lockers and we didn't know where Mike and Billie Joe went off to.
This time, I got my locker open. I took out a bottle of pills and shook them in front of Jenny.
"OH GIMMIE!" She shrieked.
I snatched them out of her reach and also grabbed two rockstar energy drinks out of my locker.
"Do you really want to have that now? You won't be yourself if we go anywhere with Billie Joe and Mike... " I reminded her.
"Hey, ya talkin about us?" Mike said as him and Billie Joe strode up the hallway to where we were standing.
In a weird nervous thing I threw the bottle back in my locker and slammed It shut really fast. I smiled like everything is fine... "No... Uh.. We were just... Here.." I began to say but then thrust the energy drink in Jenny's hand. They both looked at us like we were crazy... And we sat in silence for a minute.
"So.. Uh.. I dunno, I guess we were wondering if you guys wanted to hang out today, or sometime.." Mike broke the silence.
"YA! Sounds great!" Jenny told them. I kept looking down at my feet the whole time, I knew they thought I was an idiot..
"So, you guys wanna come over? Or go anywhere else? Were new here, so maybe you could show us around?" Mike said and smiled.
"Ya, of course!" Jenny replied. She took Mike by the arm and in a tour guide voice said, "Well. Today, we will be having a look around the city! Join me if you will." And led us out side. Me and Billie Joe walked behind Mike and Jenny.
I was being strangely quite and kept my focus on my shoes.
"So uh where do you live?" Billie Joe asked me.
"Oh, over there somewhere." I replied pointing toward the direction my house was in.
"Hey, I live over there too." Billie Joe told me and smiled.
"There was a house for sale down the street from me... "
"Hey I could have moved into it!"
"Ya! That would be awesome! Jenny lives next door to me. Do you and Mike live together?"
"Oh, ya we do, so we might be living next to you!" Billie Joe said.
"Ya!" I said.
"What's all the excitement about?" Mike turned around and asked us.
"Oh, well we might live near them." Billie Joe answered.
"Oh really! That's awesome!" Mike said back.
"Rockstar! Rockstar! Dur ner ner ner nur nu." Jenny sang doing an air bass impression, and smiled at me.
"ROCKSTAR! Dun nu nu nu nu!" I sang out.
Mike and Billie Joe gave each other the weirdest looks ever and me and Jenny burst out laughing.
"Sorry... " Jenny laughed. "I had an urge to do it." She laughed.
We must have been walking for a long time since school had got out, the sky was now dark.
"Uhm.. What time were we supose to be hime Billie?" Mike questioned Billie Joe.
"Oh.. I uh, have no idea."
"Maybe we should start walking back then?" Mike suggested.
"Well I don't know where the fuck to go." Billie replied.
"Well, that's where they come in --" Mike said and turned to point at me and Jenny, but we wernt standing behind them anymore. "They were just here.." Mike said as him and Billie turned to look in every direction and called out our names...
