A Brand New Hope, chapter 3
Time came and it was time for Karen to go home. My mom offered to give her a ride. I looked at the clock 12:35 P.M. I yawned and gave dad a hug and a kiss,and went upstairs to my room. I put my backstage pass on my dresses."Today was the best." I said to myself. I then put my P.J's on and went to bed.
**** The Next Day****
It was a beautiful Sunday morning.Nothing could go wrong. Well thats what I thought. my mom and dad wanted some time to themselves today. I was on the couch watching television when they came in and told me they were going out to dinner and asked if I would be okay by myself for a few hours. I nodded, and my mom and dad both gave me a hug and told me they loved me. I thought it was kinda odd that they were saying all of this. I mean they wont be gone that long and I will be here when they get back. I went along with it anyway and returned to watching spongebob. A few hours went by and I started to get bored and a bit hungry. So I went into the kitchen and saw some money my dad left me for pizza. "Yes, i finally can get some pizza." I said happily to myself. I called up order my pizza, and decided to do something fun to pass the time. I went to the stero in the livingroom and played the Warning CD, and started danceing. I was haveing the time of my life. I was all alone and party to music as loud as i wanted. I had to stop and get my pizza for a few minutes though,but after I ate I was dancing and day dreaming about a Green Day concert. When suddenly I got a phone call, I didn't answer it at first but they just kept calling. The phone rang again. "Damn what the hell do these people want?" I said as i walked slowly to the phone. "Hello?" " Is this Hope?" the person on the other end said. "Yes,why I'm afraid we have some bad news." My eyes started to water I knew what he was going to tell me, I just hoped so badly that I was wrong. "Hope, your parents were in a car accident." "What, no that can't be there alive right god please tell me there alright, god damn it there okay." I screamed with tears rolling down my cheeks. "No, they were found dead at the scene of the accident.""No. you're lying they both can't be dead is mom alive." "No, the car flipped over and they both died instanly, im so sorry." I droped the phone on the floor and ran into the livingroom. I went crazy throwing things everywhere. I screamed " NO, how can this happen to me, why god why I cant believe this." I went on my knees and looked down on the floor where a picture of me,mom,and dad took together last year. I sat there with it held close to my heart as I cried the night away.
