The true story of Jena Lakcheburg, chapter 4

My mom's new boyfriend was Trè Cool. Sarah was drooling now. So I took the sleeve of her shirt and wiped it off her.

"Hi my name's... " we didn't give him time to finish we all started spouting off our own special answers.

"Trè fucking Cool" Nick said

"The hottest guy on the planet!" Sarah said then slapped her mouth shut.

"The greatest drummer in history." Jessica said her eyes starting to bulge out of her head.

People call you a lot of different things I bet. But I think you might rather be called Trè. Am I right Trè?" ok now this is creepy why was I the only one not freaking out that Trè Cool of Green Day was standing in my house talking to me. Maybe it was because it's not that surprising that my mom would bag herself a good looking guy who also is the coolest guy on the planet.

But for some reason I felt a little funny. As if I didn't like the fast that my mom's new boyfriend was Trè Cool.

"Wow you guys must really like um us I guess."

How could he say like? We love them. I have ever since I was only 7 years old.

"Love is more like it. We love your music. It was our inspiration to start a band in the first place."

"Well I'd say that you do a pretty good job of playing Disappearing Boy. So who's who and who plays what?"

"Well I'm Jena and I play guitar and a little of the drums. This is Sarah she plays Drums. This is Jessica she plays Bass. And this is my brother Nick he sings and sometimes he plays the guitar while I sing."

"Well now that we have introductions out of the way what do you guys say to getting some ice cream?" my mom asked

"Me I do daddy can we please get some ice cream please?" I heard a little girl's voice. Could it be? Yes it was!

"Oh yeah! Duh! I forgot to introduce Ramona. Ramona say hi to everyone."

"Hi my name is Ramona."

I walked up to Ramona and smiled

"Hi Ramona my name is Jena do you wanna go get some ice cream."

"Yeah."

So we all went out for ice cream and when we got back Jessica and Sarah had to go home.

"Bye guys see you at school tomorrow oh and Sarah don't tell anyone yet."

Sarah looked up at me and nodded her head.

When I went back into the living room Nick was playing video games with Trè and Trè was kicking his butt.

"Jena you play for a while Trè is killing me and I wanna take a break."

"Ok whatever you say Nick."

So I played with Trè beating him badly. And then suddenly he picked me up and put me over his shoulder and started to go around in circles. When he put me back down I started to feel and see the room spin. Then Trè looked at his watch.

"Oh shit I need to take Ramona home it's getting late."

"Ahhhh I was having fun. Are you going to come back tomorrow?"

"If your mom says it's Ok."

"Well I'll go tell mom that your leaving." Nick said and went to get our mom.

"So do you miss your dad?"

Oh crap he asked the forbidden question. Every time someone asks me that question I start to cry and I can't help it. So I started to cry.

"Hey I didn't mean to upset you."

"N-no I'm fine it's just that every time someone asks me that question I remember my dad and I start to cry and yes I miss him a lot."

"Well if your mom says it's Ok then we'll have a little me and you day tomorrow Ok. Because I won't to get to know you guys a little better ya know. This must feel a little weird. It does to me cause everything happened so fast today."

"I think it would be fun to hang out with you." I said wiping away my tears.

"Trè you better get going if you want to get Ramona in bed at a decent hour." my mom said in her usual motherly tone.

"Ok well I'll see you tomorrow then Jena at about oh say 12ish if I even get my ass out of bed by that time."

"Ok Trè enough with the cussing around Ramona."

"Yes mommy." Trè said jokingly

And with that my mom gave him a kiss and Nick gave him a guy hug and I gave him a small hug.
