Green Day, chapter 3
The next morning when Billie Joe woke up there were three loud knocks at the door. Billie Joe shouted ''Dude, chill I'm coming� and to his surprise there were two large policemen. One of the policeman said ''are you Billie Joe?’ and ''do you have too friends called Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool.� ‘‘Yeah why?'' “Because there was incident yesterday with your manager he has made a serious complaint against the three of you and we would like to take you down to the station and ask you a few questions.� ''Hey man what's all the noise'' says Mike then Tre walks in and says ''Wow dude what's with the police'' “it's about when we went to see our manager yesterday, the police want to take us down the station to ask us a few questions� replied Billie Joe. ''Argh man this stinks'' said Tre then Katie walks in ''what's going on'' she said in shock, “it's about yesterday we have got to go down the station and answer some questions.� ''I Love You, see you later� said Billie Joe ''I Love you too’ she said back. When they arrived at the police station they interviewed Tre first and after a long hour of being interviewed Tre finally came out and Mike was next then after another long hour it was Billie Joe’s turn, they then yet again had to wait for Billie Joe, they all got off with a warning because there manager dropped the charges, then when they got home Katie was waiting for them ''well'' she said ''we got off with a warning� replied Billie. Katie started crying and Billie Joe went up to her and gave her a big huge then he said
'' I'm here now that's all that matters'' ''I'm sorry I don't know what came over me'' ''I was just so worried about you'' she said, then Billie Joe said ''come on Tre I need you to come out with me, I need to get something.'' ‘‘But dude I've only just got in'' never mind that I need you. a few hours later Billie Joe and Tre returned home
To find Katie in the living room ''back so soon'' she said '' we were bored’ replied Billie and Tre. Katie sat down on the couch ''I've got you a present’’ he said ''but my birthday isn’t until tomorrow'' '' I know it's just a little something to say thank you'' ''what for'' ''well for being so such nice a person, and having the best girlfriend a guy could ever have'' replied Billie Joe. ‘‘Oh it's beautiful'' ''so do you like it'' ''I love it'' so Billie Joe put the necklace around her neck. Just then Mike and Tre walked up to them and said '' sorry to interrupted, but there's a guy outside'' so Billie Joe answered the door and there standing by the doorway was Katie’s ex- boyfriend ''what the hell do you want'' “I'm here to see Katie, and would like to speak to her'' he asked then Katie jumped in and said '' I don’t wanna see him'' ''I hate him for beating me up'' ''you heard her, she don't wanna see you 'so fuck off'' replied Billie Joe. Just as he was about to shut the door behind him Katie’s boyfriend pushed the door back open and punched him right in the stomach then Billie Joe got angry and punched him back, as they were fighting Katie called out '' stop it your gonna hurt him'' then Mike and Tre got Billie Joe by his arm and pulled him away Mike then said ''what the hell's wrong with you' this guys not worth it.'' Tre phoned the police ''what seems to be the problem'' ''there's this guy in our apartment who's just assaulted a mate of mine� replied Tre. ‘‘We’ll be there right away’ just then there was a knock at the door, Mike answered ''were here to ask a few questions about what went on between the two guys said the policeman� ''come in'' replied Mike. As Billie Joe explained to the police what went on. Mike, Tre and Katie all went out for a meal and went into a restaurant, while they were at the restaurant they sat down at a table and Katie looked at the menu ''so guys what are you having?'' “we'll have chips and gravy followed by a cup of coffee'' replied both Mike and Tre. ‘‘In that case I'll have two vegetarian burgers on a bap followed by a coffee'' ''excuse me waitress'' two plates of chips and gravy, two vegetarian burgers on a bap followed by three cups of coffee please'' coming right up'' replied the waitress. After mike, Tre and katie had eaten their meal they got the bus back home. Back at the apartment Katie’s boyfriend was arrested and Billie Joe watched as the police pulled him in the car and drove off. ‘well at least I won't be seeing him again'' he said shutting the door behind him. So Billie Joe decided to nip into town to pick up some presents ready for Katie’s birthday tomorrow. As he went into one of the stores there was screaming girls running up to him, one of then said ''it's Billie Joe from Green Day''
Another excited teen said ''can I have your autograph please'' ''yeah sure'' replied Billie Joe. After the screaming girls went Billie Joe looked around the store for more presents. After he shopped he got a taxi home. When he got to his apartment he opened the door to see mike, Tre and Katie all ready there ''what are you guys doing back so early'' ''we got board so we came home'' replied mike, Tre, Katie. Billie Joe went up stairs in his room and called out ''Hey guys I need you'' so mike and Tre sneaked quickly up the stairs into Billie’s room. ‘‘What’s up'' '' it's Katie’s birthday tomorrow and I need you guys to help me wrap the presents up'' replied Billie. Just then Katie came up the stairs towards Billie Joe’s room and went for open the door when a voice said ''don't come in, were doing something. ''I was just wondering what are you guys doing tomorrow, ''because it's my birthday and I haven’t go any thing planed.'' mike opened the door and shut it behind him ''how about we cook you a nice meal, on your birthday'' ''ok, sure'' replied Katie and went back down stairs to watch some TV. Mike then went back into Billie Joe’s room and said ''phew she's go'' ''right you wrap this one, and you wrap that one Tre replied Billie Joe. After Mike, Billie and Tre wrapped the presents, Billie Joe put them under his bed, while mike and Tre went into their bedrooms to chill out. Katie couldn’t sleep so she sneaked up stairs quietly and knocked on Billie Joe’s room ''come in '' he said ''I can't sleep, can I stay with you ''yeah sure'' ''you know you don't have to knock, your my girlfriend now, you can come in any time you like'' he said. Billie and Katie both got into bed together and he put his arm around her and brushed her hair aside then softly kissed her on the cheek ''Night sweet dreams'' she said ''yeah Night, ‘I love you'' replied Billie Joe as he was closing his eyes to go sleep.
