Cat And Billie Joe, chapter 10

Billie picked up the phone after several rings, still wet from the shower. Earlier, Cat had gone out for lunch with some friends, but she should be back any second.
"Hello?"
"Is this, um... " the man on the other end paused, "Mr. William Armstrong?"
Billie cringed when he said William, nodding his head. Relizing that he could see him, he told him yes, that was him.
"This is Dr. Chiney. Sara Louise has been in an accident, and she has been calling for you, she says you are her fiancée?"
"An accident?! What kind of accident?" Billie yelled franticly into the phone.
"Sir, please, she will be fine. There was a drunk driver, and he swerved into the same lane as Ms. Louise and managed to push her off the side of the road, while still remain-"
"What hospital is she at? Fuck! Tell me!" Billie yelled into the phone.
The doctor told him, and Billie hung up on him after telling him he would be there as soon as he could. Billie Joe dialed Tré's number so he could be driven to the hospital. Cat had taken their car, so other wise he would have been stuck. Tré honked ten minutes later and Billie ran put of the apartment, not even remembering if he locked the door. He jumped in and Tré drove off. Mike was in the car too, they had been hanging out, but of course dropped everything when they heard what had happened. When they got to the hospital, not even waiting for Tré to park- or even stop, he jumped out of the car running to the front doors.
"Hey! Where is she? Cat! No, Sara! Sara Louise." He yelled at the nurse behind the desk, ignoring the people in line.
"Are you family?" She asked, soundly rather annoyed.
"I'm her fucking fiancée! What room is she fucking in?!" He yelled at her. The nursed sighed dramatically, looking down at a list.
"635." She told him.
Before asking directions, he ran to find her room. 635. There it was. He stopped in front of the closed door, panting. He opened it, quietly as possible, grabbing the doorframe, feeling dizzy and lightheaded as he looked to where she lay.
"Shit." He muttered, letting go of the doorframe, and closing the door. He sat down in the chair, scooting it as close to her bed as possible. She has IV's and other technical crap on her, and one giant bruise on her cheek. He felt the tears he had been hold in finally falling freely upon his face. He wiped them off with the back of his hand and watched as Cat's eyes fluttered open. He smiled, weakly at him. He let out a breath and grabbed her hand.
"Cat! God... are you ok?" He whispered. She nodded, frowning slightly.
"I... I lost the baby." She said, and he could barley hear her, she had said it so quietly. A single tear fell down her bruised cheek.
"That's ok, your ok, that all that matters." He whispered.
"But you made it sound like it would have been ok with the baby... and, you made me look forward to it." She sniffed. Held her hand in both of his now, frowning. After a few minutes of reassurance, the doctor came in, reading a piece of paper. Billie stood up and shook the doctors offered hand, then took his seat next to Cat.
"Well, she will be fine Mr. Armstrong. Ms. Louise, you will need to stay a week under observation and to make sure you get enough rest."
They both nodded and Billie looked into the corner of his eye, looking out he door after he heard yelling.
"Tell me where the fuck she is dammit!" Tré yelled at a nurse.
Billie stood up after the doctor had left and tapped the young drummer on the shoulder.
"God Billie! Everyone here is and IDIOT!" He yelled looking over his should at the nurse he had been yelling at.
"Come on... Be quiet, okay?" Billie raised his eyes and lowered his head a little, as if he were looking over a pair of glasses. Tré nodded and motioned for a quiet Mike to come over who had been sitting, rather patiently, in the waiting room. The members of Green day walked into Cat's room, silently hoping she wasn't as bad as they were thinking.
"Fuck... " Mike muttered walking over to her and running a finger over her bruised cheek. She moved her head away from his hand, and he quickly took it away. After chatting for about two hours, Mike and Tré left Cat and Billie be alone.
"Hey, Billie?"
"Hmmm?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Can you play me a song?" She smiled.
"Of course, lemme just... I don't have my guitar!" He slapped his forehead.
"Oh well... Tomarrow? After you go home and stuff, in the morning, you can bring it." She rested her head on her hands, cocking her head.
"What? You want me to go home?" He said, a little hurt.
"I don't think you can stay... " She said, now frowning.
"Watch me." Billie grinned, rather cheekily, and kissed her hard on the lips.
"Dinner!" A nurse knocked and walked in carrying a tray of disgusting looking food.
"Make sure she eats this, okay? She needs food." The nurse told Billie Joe, winking at him.
"Ooh, I think she has the hotts for you Billie Joe." Cat grinned after the nurse left. He shook his head. Cat made a face and poked her food.
"I have a plan... okay, don't eat that." He said.
"Way ahead of you there Bill." Cat said, chuckling a bit.
"No, no... um, wait here, I'll be back as soon as I can." He left the room and Cat sat there, looking at her food.

Twenty minutes later Billie came back with his back pack which had a salad for him, a burger, fries, and giant chocolate bar and a bottle of Dr. Pepper for her.
"I didn't think I could love you nay more Billie, but, right now, you are a god." Cat said, taking a bite of her burger. He smiled.
