Cat And Billie Joe, chapter 9

Billie looked at her expectantly.
"So? What is it?" He whispered.
"I'm... Pregnant." A tear rolled down her cheek. He kneeled beside her and wrapped his arms around her as she buried her head in his neck as she sobbed.

Later that night she was at Gilman watching Billie grin like a fool. She was almost... Excited. He made everything better. He always did. She bounced up in front of the crowd singing along to the songs, smiling at him as he smiled down at her. They finished their songs and Billie cleared his throat.
"Cat! Come up here for a sec!" He shouted into the mic. She blushed as he held his hand for her to help her up. He wrapped his arm around he waist.
"This is the woman I love. And... " He took a deep breath and knelt down on one knee. Cat gasped at he pulled out a ring box.

"Cat, when I first met you, I knew we would be together. I love you so much, I don't know what I would do with out you. I don't know what did before I met you. Will you... Will you marry me Cat?"

Billie looked up at her, shaking, and opened the box. Inside sat a ring Cat had admired when they were at a jewelry store in the mall. It was a silver band with white diamonds circling it. A tear rolled down her check, for the second time that day. She nodded.

"Yes, Billie, I will." She said, shaking. He broke into a grin bigger than the one he was wearing while singing earlier. He stood up and hugged her so tight she couldn't breath.
"I love you so much." He whispered into his ear.
"I love you too." She breathed into his ear.
He broke away from her and grabbed her hand a raised them both into the air like the referee does to the winner in a boxing match.

"Ha! Losers! I got to her first!" He joked, yelling into the mic.

He pulled her back stage and bounced on his toes. Cat grinned at him like a fool. Just as he pulled her into a kiss, they heard a knock on the door.
"Ignor it." Billie Joe breathed into her ear.
She pulled away and shook her head slightly while seemingly floating to the door, as Billie had noticed recently. She never walked. She... Glided. Like, well, a cat.
"It could be important." She said, opening the door. There stood a tall man wearing a suit.
"Excuse me, I'm Alan, from Lookout Records," He offered his hand to Billie Joe, which he took in his own hand. Cat whispered something in his ear and left the room, them came back moment later with Mike and Tre in tow.
"I'd like to offer you guys a record deal. You have a lot of potential and you guys sound really great out there. Call me" With that, Alan handed the young guitarist a business card and left the room before any of them had a chance to say anything at all. Cat gasped and looked at Billie Joe with wide eyes, and he looked back at her. Cat squealed and ran to Billie Joe and jumped into his arms, wrapping her legs around his waist, kissing him hard on the lips.
"Fuck yeah! Holy fuck man!" Tre said, hugging Mike. Mike still hadn't said anything, still stunned.
"Wow." Mike finally said. Cat un-hooked her legs from Billie's waist and went over and kissed each of the band members on the cheek, accompanied by a hug.

Later that night, after celebrating, Cat and Billie Joe stumbled into their apartment, falling onto the couch, with Billie being extremly drunk, him leaning on Cat for support. Giggling, Cat laid down, resting her head on Billie's lap, while he continually ran his fingers through her soft hair. Cat closed her eyes as Billie rearranged himself to that he spooned her on the couch. He kissed her neck drunkenly, which made Cat giggle. Billie Joe closed his eyes and buried his head in her sweet smelling hair. Cat sighed and laced her fingers in his.
