A Green Day In The Life, chapter 3
"GREEN DAY, GREEN DAY!" they chanted.
"We're in deep shit," Tre said, "quick, Jenny, call the cops!" "Yeah, they'll shut up when the fuzz shows, right Mike?" Billie Joe said sarcastically. They laughed. "Sorry to say, that probably wouldn't work, Tre," Jenny said. "Well it's worth a try," Tre shouted as he grabbed the phone & dialed 911.
"Hello, this is a frickin' emergency!!!!" Tre shouted into the phone, "We got some insane Green Day fans forming an angry mob on the corner of 4th and Winter... Hello? Hello!" He slammed the phone. "The bastard hung up on me!" "I told you it wouldn't work," Billie Joe replied. "You probably scared him away," Mike joked.
Someone banged on the door and hollered, "Green Day is in here!"
"At least I know how to get rid of these jerks. You guys hide somewhere," Jenny stated. Mike hid in the coat closet, Tre hid in the bathtub, and Billie Joe hid under Jenny's bed.
Jenny opened the door and said, "Who you looking for?" The crazed fans replied, "GREEN DAY!" "Right this way," she said, leading them towards the utility closet (not the one Mike was in). She unlocked it, opened it, pushed them in, and closed the padlock.
"Hey!!!" they screamed.
"Ok guys, you can come out now," Jenny said. "What are you going to do now? You can't keep them there forever!" Mike said. "That's why I'm beeping security!" Jenny exclaimed.
She took out her Nextel and beeped security. "Hi, George. We have some drunks locked in the utility closet in apartment 27B. Could you pick them up?" Jenny stated. "Sure, I'll be there ASAP," the man replied. Jenny put her cell phone away and turned to the guys.
"Everything's all taken care of, boys!" Jenny chortled. "Yeah, but what about the angry mob?" Billie Joe whined. "Oh, I almost forgot!" Jenny said as she walked toward the window.
The police were out there arresting all the nutcases and shooing the rest of the crowd away.
"Not so stupid after all, huh?" Tre questioned. "Wow, for once, Tre had a good idea. Let's call the newspaper," Billie Joe joked. "Someone already beat us," Mike said staring at the television.
The news was flashing a report about an angry mob of Green Day fans (half of which were arrested).
"Fuck, I'm glad that's over," Billie Joe said after the security guard arrested the three drunks. "Me too," Mike and Tre said at once.
"You smoke?" Tre asked Jenny. "Say no more," Jenny replied as she handed Tre a cigarette. "Thanks," Tre said as he lit it up. "You guys want one?" Jenny asked as she offered Mike and Billie Joe a cigarette. They each took one.
After they all smoked, Tre fell asleep.
"I have a good idea," Billie Joe whispered as he got a can of shaving cream from Jenny's bathroom. "No, you wouldn't!" Jenny whispered back. "Yes, I would, damnit," Billie Joe said as he put a blob of shaving cream in Tre's hand.
He tickled Tre's forehead and Tre flopped his hand onto his head. They laughed.
"Is this gonna be what happens the whole time you're here?" Jenny said.
"Probably!" Billie Joe and Mike replied.
