Friends Till The End?, chapter 2
Billie Joe and Amy walked around the field, and Billie Joe said," Let's go and sit under that tree."
"Okay," said Amy, so they walked over to the tree and sat down. Amy looked at Billie Joe just as he looked at her, and she blushed and turned away." So... Are you enjoying it here so far?" Amy asked." Um... Only because I get to sit next to you, cause you're my best friend." he replied." That's what I was gonna say," said Amy, pretending to pout. Billie Joe put his arm around her, and said," Don't be like that." She sat up straighter and smiled." You have an American accent, how long have you lived in England for?" she asked Billie Joe." Only about 3 months," he replied," and until today I had no friends here." He looked sad, and Amy said," Don't worry, you have me now and I promise that I'll always be there for you, no matter what." He smiled at her, just as the bell rung for the end of recess. They walked inside slowly and sat next to each other again. At lunchtime they sat with Chloe, Saffron and another boy and girl they didn't know." This is Cat and this is Jamie," said Chloe. Cat had red hair, blue eyes and was smiling at them and Jamie had olive skin, dark eyes and black hair." Hey," Cat said to Amy," I love your outfit." Thanks," Amy said as she sat down next to Billie Joe." Hiya," said Jamie to both Billie Joe and Amy." Hello," they said together. Billie Joe opened his lunchbox and said," Carrot sticks and dip, yummy!" Are you a vegetarian?" asked Jamie. Billie Joe looked down and said," Yea," in a low voice. People has teased him about it before, and he didn't want that to happen again here, especially not in front of Amy. But there was a surprise for him." Me too," said Amy as she pulled out some cucumber and carrots from her lunchbox." Wanna share? I'll have some of your dip and you have some of my cucumber."
"Deal," answered Billie Joe, and they tucked in. After lunch they returned to the classroom, and they had maths. Amy was good at maths so she gave Billie Joe the answers. At the end of the day Billie Joe invited her round to his, and she said," Okay, but can I call my mummy from there?" Of course," he replied, and they walked to his house hand in hand.
