Boulevard of Broken Dreams, chapter 8
Billie's P.O.V.
I have been tied to this chair for days now. I haven't slept much, my position is too uncomfortable. Bob and his friend, that's all they do is sleep. The rope around my wrist, has dug welts around them, I can feel it. My ankles, on the other hand are protected by my pant legs. I only ate one thing since I've been here and that was a sandwich that Bob dropped on the floor. I am so weak anymore that I can barely struggle against my pain, or fight back when they conflict it. AGH I heard a groan come from the couch, and by now I know it is Bob waking up from his nap. DING a light bulb went off in my head.
"Uh... ... ... .Bob, I have to use the bathroom like really bad, do you think I could...
"Yeah," I asked innocently.
"Why should I," Bob answered hatefully.
"Well, it is better than me shitting on your floor," I snapped. A gross look came across his face as he motioned for his friend to come. Take him to the bathroom, he untied me and stood me up. I could barely stand, from the weakness and the pain that overtook my body and the room was spinning uncontrollably. I made it to the bathroom surprisingly as we went in and he locked the door. The sun was shining brightly through the first story window. It stung like needles digging into my eyes.
"So," the guy said, "do it." I looked at him, "well could you at least turn around." He rolled his eyes and turned around with his back facing me. It was now or never, I scanned the room as I sat down on the toilet for fear of him becoming suspicious. I looked down and caught a glimpse of something shinny, it was a hammer, someone had forgotten to take it out from the recent construction on the room. I slowly bent over and picked it up, being careful not to make any noise.
"Would you hurry up, " the guy said impatiently. "Hold on, I am almost done," I said as I raised the hammer and clunked the guy in the back of the head knocking him unconscious. Luckily the guy didn't make much noise when he hit the floor, as I turned to the window, opened it and climbed out. The 5-foot drop was nothing; it was just the rose bush at the bottom that got to me. I began to run as I pulled my cell phone out of my pocket. I spotted a road
"Mike," I yelled into the phone, "please help, I've been kidnapped but just escaped."
"Oh no," he said I could hear the tears in his eyes. I spotted a car and waved it down.
"Mike, listen I need you to get the police here, at 3400 west orchid street, thank god for signs," I thought as I scanned the run down neighborhood before hanging up on Mike and climbing in the car.
"Please," I began to sob, "I need to get to the hospital, I just escaped from being kidnapped." I managed to say when I heard the passengers door glass break and someone grabbed me by the neck. "Oh god," I heard the woman yell as she stepped on it and slowly the death grip was released and I passed out from exhaustion.
Mikes P.O.V.
I was relieved to hear Billie's voice, after a few days of silence and me fearing him dead.
"Hello, I need a police unit and possible ambulance at 3400 west orchid street, hurry please, my best friend has been kidnapped and just escaped form there he is on his way to the hospital now...Billie Joe Armstrong...Yes...Thank You." I said as I hung up the phone. I turned to see Tre' standing in the doorway with a shocked look on his face, he had hear everything.
"He's alive, come on," I smiled as I waved him out the door. The ride to the hospital was relatively short but, uneasy. I entered the hospital and asked the receptionist, "Billie Joe Armstrong."
"He is still in the E. R., but should be moved to a room soon, Sit here and I'll be sure to let you know.
"Ok," Tre and I agreed as we took our seats in the waiting room. I pulled out my cell phone and dialed the police department.
"Hello, Oakland Police Department," a raspy voice said into the receiver.
"Yeah, I was wondering if you all had arrested the kidnapper, from that anonymous tip yet?"
"Yes, we found one unconscious in the bathroom."
"What are his chances of being charged with kidnapping?"
"Well, sir right now they are looking very good. We found a chair, with dried blood around it, ropes beside the chair with dry blood on it, and a witness saying he picked up the victim after he escaped, and the perpetrator following him.
"Ok, thanks.........Bye." I said into the phone as I hung up to aware Tre'. Once I had told Tre' the receptionist said
"Sir, he has been moved to room 409."

When I first laid eyes on Billie, Tre' was with me this time, my heart sank. He was asleep but bruised and beat up.They had a feeding tube in I'm, and he had lost a lot of weight since I last saw him maybe 4 days ago. I took my seat next to his bed and watched him sleep.

I had been there maybe 2 1/2, 3 hours before he woke up. He was exhausted and I could see it in his eyes. A smile came across his face, to see he was safe and with his friends who cared very much for him. He told us the story, with every heart wrenching detail of what all had happened since his date with Rochelle. The park, the S.U.V., the chair, that room, the escape, Bob, Adie, and the other guy. When he mentioned the guys responsible, Tre' and I connected eyes knowing exactly what one another was thinking.
"They only found one guy."
HE STILL ISN'T SAFE!!!
