Wishing Pond (sequel to 1,000 Hours), chapter 3
Once I was done crying, it was dark out. Then I took out my cell phone and messed around with it. Then I went through the list of contacts. I stopped on Tre's number. I just stared at it for a minute or two, who knows how long. Then I heard footsteps coming up behind me. I slowly turned around and right behind me was this dark and tall figure. I went to scream but he covered up my mouth and said, ''Don't scream. ''
Without thinking, I pushed the send button on my phone. I put it up to my ear and just as Tre said hello, the creepo dude said, ''And who are you calling? ''
''None of your business. Tre hello?! It's Nik-''
But then Creepo snatched it out of my hand and said into it,
''Who are you? ''
I could barely hear yelling coming from the phone but Creepo hung up and threw it on the ground. I screamed and he slapped my face and said,
''No screaming! ''
And the last thing I remember was that he draggged me into the woods, with me crying and screaming the whole way.
*Tre's P. O. V. *
''Nikky? Hello?! '' All there was was the dial tone. I hung up and ran and got my jacket and keys and Mike asked,
''Where are you going? ''
''I'm gonna go save Nikky. ''
''What?! We're coming. ''
Then both him and Billie went and got jackets and we got in my SUV. I already knew which way she went, so I went that way. I explained what the phone conversation was like to Mike and Billie and Mike said,
''Stop I think that's her car! ''
I stopped and sure enough, that was it. I parked next to it and we all got out. I saw her phone on the ground so I ran over and picked it up.
''Nikky! '' We all yelled. Then coming from the woods came her crying. That's how quiet it was. We all ran in the direction that it was coming from. I heard a crash then Billie said, ''Ahh crapfuck retarded tree root it tripped me! '' Me and Mike couldn't help but to laugh a little.
''Nikky where are you?! '' I yelled.
''Um right in front of you. '' Said Billie. I looked down, and there she was, curled up in a ball and crying. I kneeled down and said,
''Nikky? It's Tre. ''
''Tre? '' She rolled over amd said,
''Oh my god it's so good to hear your voice! ''
She went to hug me but when she shot up, she stopped and started crying again. It must've hurt her.
''It's okay don't do that. Here. ''
Then I slowly picked her up in my arms and she cried.
''C'mon guys. '' I said. Then we headed back. Once we got back, Billie drove her car and I layed her down in the backseat of mine with Mike. He wrapped his arms around her and stoked her hair and said,
''Shh everything's gonna be alright. ''
I got in the driver's seat and we hauled ass down the freeway, trying to find the nearest hospital.
