Wishing Pond (sequel to 1,000 Hours), chapter 7

''No... Nikky... No this can't be. '' I kept whispering.
''Um sir? '' The nurse asked.
''Yeah? ''
''Look up. '' I did and the heart monitor was still going!
''Yay! '' I said. The nurse walked over and hit it and said,
''Damn busted heart monitor. ''
''Wait, it's broken?! ''
''Yeah. ''
''Well what the heck lady?! I thought she died! Get one that actually works! Jeez. ''

After she went and got another one, Nikky woke up.
''Hey I got a sorta funny story to tell you. ''
''What? ''
''Apparently the one heart monitor that WAS in here was broken, and I thought you died! I was all crying and stuff. But the nurse got another one. '' She smiled weakly.
''That's just weird. '' She said.
''Yeah it is. ''
''Hey I forgot to tell you something. ''
''What? ''
''I'm gonna have twins. ''
''Really? Congrats. ''
''Well, the downside is one is Tre's, but the other is that freak's. ''
I sighed and watched her fall asleep slowly. I yawned so I got up and laid on the other bed and went to sleep as well.

*Tre's POV*

The next day, as soon as I could I went down to the hospital. I peeked through the window on the door of her room. Her and Mike were talking. I walked in and she said, ''Hey. ''
''Hey. ''
I sat on the chair on the other side of the bed and held her hand. Mike smirked and said, ''Hey Tre. ''
''What? ''
''Last night, the heart moitor thing was broken, and I thought she died! ''
''What?! ''
''Yeah but a nurse got a working one. I was all crying and stuff. ''
I smirked too, it was somewhat funny.
