A Blank Decision, chapter 1

Bush was on TV again talking about the war and what he was planning to do. Billie toar the remote from Tre's hands and changed the channel and Mike shook his head, he was doing that more often. They sat on the couch for awhile, watching Billie flip through the channels looking angry at something. Then he finally stopped, shut the TV off, and tossed the remote behind his shoulder.
"Bush is an idiot!" he yelled, getting up and pacing the room.
"Tell us somethin we don't know. Face it, he's going down and dragging America with him." Mike responded.
"Yea, I feel real bad for idiot Ameirca who voted him in office!" he retorted.
"You guys are having one of those smart people arguments... I'll just be quiet..." Tre joked. He was pleased when he heard both of them laugh.
"Ahh... I'm just glad we got our new record ready for editing." Mike said after a few minutes.
"Me too." Billie agreed, again sitting down on the couch.
"Me five... Wait, that's not right.." Tre said.
They laughed at Tre and sat there talking with each other. Nothing was on TV and they were waiting for Rob to call them anyways, so they decieded to 'vent' as they waited. About an hour had passed and after more arguements, politcaly charged statments, and laugh out loud jokes, Mike suggested they get booze to celebrate their album. Although it wasn't finished yet, it was still something to celebrate.
Agreeing with Mike, Billie left a message on Rob's cell phone to call him on his own cell instead and they got off the couch. Mike swung open the door and nailed Tre right in the face. He flew backwards dramaticly for show, then pouted all the way to the car. Billie told him to shut up and just get into the car. He did so, loading into the backseat with a sour face and a bump on his head.
Billie got into the driver's seat and MIke sat next to him. He adjusted the rear-view mirror and laughed at Tre's reflection. Tre's relfection frowned and flipped him off, then laughed at what it just did. Billie started the car, pulled out of their drive way, and flipped the real Tre off as they took off down the street.
"Hey!" Tre whinned.
"What?" Billie laughed.
He noticed Tre fold his arms in the mirror and he chuckled slightly, Tre's such a drama queen. They turned a few corners and parked outside of the store. Not busy, always good when you're a celebrity. Of course they hadn't been heard from since 2000 and most people were lead to believe that they broke up, but they still had to watch their backs. They opened their doors and got out, strolling casually to the doors of the store.
Tre stopped abruptly and starred at some bum right outside of the store. He picked up a stick and poked him, laughing like a school girl whilst doing so. Billie laughed happily behind Tre, that was funny to them. Mike pushed them out of the way and fumbled for his wallet. He pulled out a couple hundreds and tossed them to the poor man, smiling as he woke up.
"Whassat for?" he asked sleepily.
"Just take it and get back on your feet again, bout one thousand bucks there, maybe more." Mike replied as he opened the store door.
Tre dropped his stick and turned to Billie, who shrugged and walked behind Mike. Why was Mike so... Mike? Always nice to everyone, unless you get him mad, and makin Tre and Billie look bad? Okay well, they made themselves looked bad but still!
"Dude, why'd you waste your money? He's just going to buy booze." Billie told him as they walked into the store.
"I don't care, I got more." he laughed back.
"Oh my gawd! No waaaay, ahhh!" A young girl's voice sounded.
They looked to one another, what was she freaking about? Oh right, they're rockstars. Time to be all nice and talk with the person and give them an autograph and blah blah blah... Not that they didn't like to meet their fans. They love their fans of course, but it does get tiering.
They waited to see if she would even make a move, and of course she walked carefully over to them as if she was on a mine feild. Billie turned to her and smiled, as did Mike and Tre. They stood aquardly as she smiled back for a long time, then snapped out of it.
"Umm... Hi, I'm Jehn. I'm a fan of yours, a really big fan." she said.
"Hi Jehn, uhh... Guess you already know who we are." Billie said, sticking out his hand for her to shake. She shook it happily and looked as though she was going to pass out.
"What can we do for ya?" Tre asked merrily.
"Oh my gosh, Tre! I love you!" she practically screamed.
"Thanks, I love you too. I guess you want like an autograph then huh?" he laughed.
"That would be sooo cool! Can all of you sign this... Were is it... Ha! Can you please sign this CD of yours, I just bought it." she said, exploding with excitement.
"Sure." they replied.
She pulled out a copy of International Superhits and struggled to find a pen. Finally she grabbed a black marker and they took it from her, signing their names and leavin their words. Tre worte:Tre Cool. I love you too! :-). Billie wrote: Billie Joe Armstrong. Nice to meet ya, and rock on. And Mike wrote: Mike Dirnt. Tell everyone you met me so they'll buy our CD's, j/k.
She shrieked with joy and put the stuff back in her bag, then giggled all the way out of the store. Another one down, a world more to go. They laughed and went back to doing what they came there for. What was that? Oh yea, right, booze! They went to the back of the store and picked up a couple cases of beer, some Vodka, Whiskey, and Gin. Boy were they going to party!
The three of them went to the check out and loaded their things on the belt. The clrek grinned after all of them flashed their ID's, then started bagging their stuff. Hoping that this one wouldn't freak out, they stood waiting until he was finished.
Mike grabbed the beer cases, Tre the bags with Gin and Whiskey, and Billie the bag of Vodka. Oh how they needed a boy's night. They walked out of the store and to both Billie and Tre's surprise, the bum was gone. Mike only smirked at them and walked ahead. The other's shook their heads and caught up with him. They walked a ways out so they were close to their car.
"I really don't get you Mike, I really don't." Billie said, closing in on his door.
"You don't have to, no one does. I just think that sharing your earnings with some one is better than poking that same some one with a stick." he joked.
Tre turned his head to look at Mike, rather to glare really, and ended up walking straight into the car. He stepped back and looked at his band mates, both laughing at him as they opened their doors. Shaking it off, Tre made a mental note to look where he was walking from now on. Mike passed the beer case to Tre in the back seat for more room up front. Then, as they were just about to pull out of the parking lot, Billie's cell phone rang.
"Dang it! I can't talk and drive.. I'm pullin back in." he said.
He pulled back into the parking lot via reverse and parked back in the same spot. The phone was still ringing when he looked at the ID, to his reliefe. He unhooked his phone from his belt and flipped it open. Pushing talk, he spoke to the caller.
"Ello?" he answered.
"Hey Billie, I got your message." Rob replied.
"Good then, so... You've figured out when we need to come back in?" Billie asked.
"Uhh... No." he said.
"Then why are you wasting my time?" he joked.
"Well, there is a problem. You see, your guys tapes... Got stolen."
"What?!? What the heck do you mean stolen?!?"
