A Blank Decision, chapter 10

Adrienne was been walking briskly, trying to avoid even the samllest glance whilst she tried to get up to the fifth floor. Relife struck her as soon as she put her foot on the first stone step that lead up. She thought she had made it.
When she took the second step, her heart stopped. Some one had called out her name. Her real name. She debated turning around, thinking it could be Tre or Mike. But those chances were too slim, so she kept on walking.
"Adrienne Armstrong, I recommend you stop right now. The fifth floor is off limits unless you're a prisoner or a real guard, and you are neither." Johnson, the man she thought she had knocked out, called after her.
"I do beileve some one dear to you is up there Adrienne. Your husband? It would be unfortunate for him to die so young." the guard of whom's clothing she was wearing told her.
She stopped and turned around. "What do you want from me?" she questioned.
"Simple, you tell us where Dirnt and Cool are-" she began. "-And we may just spare their lives."
"And?"
"... Come to us now and you and your husband's death will be easier."
Her heart stopped again. Death? She was going ot die!? 'Death is death lady, whether it's easy or not. ' she decided. She took a deep breath, turned a little, and took off up the steps. If she was going to die, she was going to die good.
She ran up the steps and down the corridor. 'Mike never lies. ' she whispered as she closed in on a large door at the end of the hall. To her surprise, when she placed her hand on the doorknob, it opened. She took a step back. It could be a trick.
Then she heard Billie yell something and she decided she had to go inside. She pushed the door open and queitly entered. There was one guard standing there with her back turned to her, watching Billie to make sure he didn't do anything stupid... Which sounded a lot like what Adrienne did.
She shook her head and stepped closer to the guard. It was then that Billie noticed her. He started to shake his head vigorsly as if to say; "Get the fuck away from her, don't do it!" Adrienne froze. She took a step back and he shook his head again. 'What the hell...? ' she asked herself.
"How nice of you to join us." the guard said kindly. "I assume you want out of here too?"
"Uhh... I came to get him out of here. He's kinda my husband." she replied.
"I know, and I also know that you have about all the guards here looking for you. You either trust me or die." she told her.
"Why should I trust you?" Adrienne questioned.
"Because, I love your huband's music and I really don't want to work for Bush. I never did. Right now all I want to do is free you guys."
"Likely story..."
"Adie, trust her. Please. This is our only chance. If we don't go with her, we're going to die." Billie begged.
Adrienne stepped into the center of the cell. "... Fine. The others are in cell 545." she said.
"Why are you telling me this? We're all going right now."
She took a few steps and ended up over by the door. Then she pulled out some handcuffs and called them over. Billie started to walk over to her, but stopped to drag Adrienne along with him. When they were finally both cuffed and ready, the guard pushed them out in front of her and started walking.
"Okay so, the plan. You're chained up to look believable. I'm going to tell everyone that I'm walking with you to cell 545 because I got an order to kill all of you and I need to pick the others up. So that means, at one point today, you will all be together again. When that time comes, I will uncuff you and I want you all to run for you fuckin lives."
"To where?" Adrienne asked.
"The van. The keys are still in there, take it and drive back home. Work on the album, produce it, and Bush will never bother you again. I just recommend your own guards until then." she replied.
"Sounds good." Billie confirmed.
They walked down a flight of stairs to the fourth floor. It was madness. People were running everywhere, screaming at each other and what not. But as soon as their feet touched the ground, it all stopped.
A sea of people turned to them. The whole prison exploded in cheers. They honestly thought that the guard had captured the Armstrong's, that was perfect! It shocked both Billie and Adrienne how easily they could drift by with this guard. In an instant, the had slipped through the cracks and were now on the third floor.
Not one single person was there except for them. That made it all the more easier to get to the second floor. But, on the second floor, Jonhson and his partner were waiting. They both looked angry and embarrassed at the same time.
"Where are you going?" Johnson asked the guard.
"To get the others, I have special orders to kill all of them." she replied.
"Oh really?" he said slyly.
"Yes really, and master told me that you have special orders as well." she began. "He wants you to tend to the riot on the fourht floor. Both of you."
"Fine."
They went their seperate ways. This was too easy, something was up. 'Why the hell was that not hard? ' Adrienne asked herself. 'I thnk this bitch is tricking us! ' She stomped her foot and caused the others to stop too.
"What's going on?" she demanded.
"We got lucky. You guys are actually going to make out of here!" she replied.
"Where the hell is Bush? I imagine he's waiting for us on the first floor or something?"
"No, he's on vacation."
Billie frowned. "Again?"
"Yeah... Come along, we have one floor left."
She pushed them forward again. In just a few minutes, they would be free. They would be out of hell itself and able to live normal lives again. Well, after Billie and Tre recovered. They just couldn't belive that they had been so close to death...
Another flight of stairs and they were finally on the first floor. Again nobody was there. The three of them practically ran to get to the cell. Adrienne gave the key to the guard and she unlocked it. Then she pushed it open and they walked inside.
Mike and Tre were sitting there, leaning their backs against each other's. Mike was facing the door and he blinked when it opened. A faint smile spread across his face and he nudged Tre with his elbow.
"I spy something new." he told him.
Tre looked around. "What the hell? There isn't anything new in here!"
"Look, it's Adrienne and Billie Joe you dipshit." he said, pointing to them in the doorway.
Tre turned his head and smile brightly when he saw them. Then it faded when he saw the guard. Adrienne got caught. He got his feet with Mike's help and the two of them stood there, not really sure what to do. Should they give up?
"Listen, I know what you're thinking. 'She's a guard and it's all a trick blah blah blah. '"
"Meh, pretty much." Mike confessed.
"Nope. I have a tap dancing monkey singing the alphabet in my head." Tre said. Then he tilted his it." Haha, he fell."
Everyone looked confused. "O... Kaaay... Umm, why don't you just follow us out here so you guys can leave?" the guard asked.
"I don't trust you lady." Tre barked.
"Just do it!" Billie and Adrienne screamed. "For the love of god, do it!"
He sighed and joined them. Mike joined them too, deciding to be the one who would help Tre walk, and they went back outside. They passed one cell... Two cells... Three cells... The guard started to unlock the cuffs. By the time the had passed four cells the cuffs were off and they were right near the exit. They turned and faced the exit, the guard leaning over.
"Three." she said. The group got ready.
"Twenty..." Tre laughed.
The guard smacked him. "Two." she said.
"Come on." Billie whispered.
"... One!" she yelled.
"Run bitches, run! Woooot!" Tre screamed, running ahead of everyone and dragging Mike behing him like a rag doll. Billie and Adrienne turned to the guard.
"You heard him, run." she laughed.
