A Blank Decision, chapter 2

"I mean stolen! Someone busted in here and took your tapes-stolen," he answered.
"What! How could you let this happen! I swear... ' Billie yelled.
"I know you do.." Rob tried to loosen him up "Listen, if you guys wanna come down here and look around, your welcome to."
"All right whatever... We'll be there." Billie replied, cutting off the conversation and clipping his phone back onto his belt.
Mike and Tre looked to one another dumbly, what was that about? Billie explained the call to them and they sat dumbstruck in their chairs, both looking angry and sad once he finished. Tre shoved the bottles of alcohol into Mike's hands and pouted in the back seat. Tre's actions reminded Billie he was still holding onto the Vodka and he too shoved it into Mike's hands. Mike frowned and sat back in his chair.
Billie pulled out of the parking lot for the second time that night, and drove off towards the studio. He wanted to find out what kind of a person would steal any artist's work, then kill that person. He shared his thoughts with the other's and they agreed, it was a very stupid thing to do. They drove on for a few more minutes in silence, only sound of the tiers humming along sounded in their ears.
All of the sudden Tre started to shout at random people out walking down the street near their car. Billie jumped, for he had been in deep thought and enjoying the quiet, and turned to yell at Tre. He told him to shut up and stop scaring the people, then Tre pointed up ahead.
Billie slammed on the brakes. He had almost hit an old woman crossing the street. 'I ain't exactly your best driver lady... ' he thought to himself as the woman flipped him off and slowly walked onward. Tre stuck his head out of the window again.
"Move it you old hag!" he yelled to the old woman, who was half way across the street.
She looked up at Tre, then practically ran out of the way. Mike and Billie Joe exploded with laughter after she was out of ear shot. Tre smiled to himself, he made them laugh again. Billie directed his attention to the road and sped up. He liked to go fast, that is to say if his mind is on the road and not drifting. He shifted gears and sped up some more.
Mike laughed at how fast they were going, they would surely get pulled over for speeding if a cop saw them. He looked out of the of the window and poked Billie Joe on the shoulder, the studio had just flown by his window.
Once again Billie Joe slammed on the brakes. He put it into reverse and pulled into the parking lot of the studio. Parking the car, he noticed Rob, Jason W., and Jason F. Were also here. He got out and waited for Mike and Tre. Mike sat in his chair and put the bottles underneath it, then loaded out. Tre laughed and opened his door, then knocked his already bruised head on exit.
Tre rubbed his head to the laughs of Mike and Billie, and the three of them walked up to the studio. Mike held the door open for them and they went inside, then asked the lady at the desk where their crew was stationed. Tre leaned his elbow on a couple papers sitting on the counter.
"Hey there beautiful," he said to the woman seated behind the counter.
"Good evening Mr. Wright," she replied.
"Hey, it's Mr. Cool to you!... And. Everyone else!" he told her.
"Right," she answered as she pulled the papers from under his elbow. Tre fell down in and instant. "Here you are Mr. Armstrong, all the information they left for you."
Billie nodded to her and walked on with Mike, leaving Tre on the floor frowning and rubbing his elbow. He stood up and rubbed some dirt off of his clothes. He stared at Billie and Mike, who were both laughing at his fall. 'Gosh, I can make them laugh any time. I didn't even mean to that time! Ha! ' he thought, then he turned back to the woman at the desk.
"I'll get you back you evil lady," he said. Then he joined his friends.
He glared at the woman until he couldn't see her anymore, then turned around to walk with Mike and Billie. Tre told them how much he despised the woman at the front counter and Billie commented saying 'Actually, I kinda liked her, ' They laughed and Billie read the papers off, then they found the room the rest were waiting in.
They opened the door and saw three men sitting in chairs. The three men of course were Rob, Jason, and... Jason. Rob stood up to greet them and pulled out some more chairs for them to sit down in, then they greeted the others. Billie swung his chair around backwards and sat down to make himself comfortable, Rob had a lot of explaining to do.
"Okay now that most of you guys are here, I think I'll go ahead and talk." Rob said.
"You better." Billie shot.
"Right then... Let's get started."
He took up about an hour of their time telling them how he found out the tapes were missing and that he had no idea who could steal them without being caught by now. When he finished, Billie ran his fingers through his hair. 'Too... Much information... My... Brain hurts. ' he thought as he got to his feet and began to look around the room.
Mike sighed, his brain hurt too. How were they going to get enough time to do that over again? He just didn't understand... He was startled by Tre snoring. He grinned to himself, Tre fell asleep.
'Must've been too much of a smart people conversation, ' Mike thought to himself as he got up to stretch. He stretched out his arms and smacked Tre in the back of his head for a wake up call. Tre lifted his head, barely awake.
"No. Fuzzy bunny. Leave me alone. Shoo... Go away," he said in sleep-talk to Mike.
Mike turned to everyone else, laughing quietly. He leaned his head at an angle and Tre mumbled something about Easter and flying monkeys. The room roared with laughter and Tre jolted awake. The rest stared at him through teared eyes from laughing so hard and he rolled his own. He sat up and crossed his legs and waited for them to stop laughing.
They stopped after a while and began shuffling out of the room. They had searched the room whilst Tre was resting and found not a single tape of theirs, to their extreme disappointment. Billie was upset, he and Rob were very good friends but he just couldn't see how he had let this happen. The three of them were last out and they started the walk back to the car.
They pulled out of the parking lot and drove towards home. Tre was in the back seat again singing Longview, making Billie want to sing it himself. He couldn't though, he had to pay attention to the road. Mike was next to him with his eyes closed and he looked as if he was asleep.
Mike was not asleep, only trying to drown out Tre's singing. He felt something hard touch his foot and remembered the booze. He bent over and pulled up the three bottles, then seat them on his lap and went back to trying to drown Tre out.
"What are we gonna do with all this booze?" Billie asked after a while as they pulled up their driveway.
"I didn't think about that... ' Mike sighed, sitting up and looking at the bottles on his lap.
"I say we get hammered!" Tre shouted.
Mike and Billie Joe both turned to look at him. "Why?" they asked.
"Well, we may not be able to celebrate anything but getting wasted is always fun!" he answered.
Billie Joe turned his head to Mike and they nodded to each other. He had a good point... For once. They parked in the garage and grabbed the booze, then snuck inside the house. They walked up the steps to their 'party' room and opened the bottles. The beer was gone after an hour or so, so they started on they hard stuff. Eventually they got so drunk they couldn't even see...
Billie opened his eyes to find Bush yanking very loudly on the TV. He fumbled for the remote and went to turn it down. It was only at set five and it took about three seconds to turn the sound off. He sat up, then fell. 'Really bad hangovers suck, ' he thought to himself as he managed to sit up and stay up.
He barely saw straight and what he saw on the TV mad him mad. Bush was talking about God knows what and pictures of the war was flashing by his face... Or maybe that was up in the corner, he couldn't really tell. He looked around and saw Mike and Tre, or maybe that was the couch. He squinted to get a better look, it was Tre. So he looked around to find Mike and Tre passed out drunk on the floor. He laughed.
'I am better than them. I am awake. ' he thought 'Yea but just barely... ' he added. He turned back to the TV and wanted to yell. Bush looked like he was now passing off questions about a dead solider who wasn't even supposed to be drafted for war. Billie fumbled for the remote again and pushed several buttons until he hit the right one, shutting the TV off.
"Stupid idiot. Bush is," he mumbled.
The word Idiot triggered his half working brain and he remembered the night before. He got the perfect idea for a song and raced off to the practice room...
