A Blank Decision, chapter 8
"Why are you touching me? Get the fuck off me you bastard!" Tre barked.
"Damn, this one is annoying! Do something!" the captin shouted.
"Like wha- owww!" his guard replied. The captin looked up. "He bit me! He fuckin bit me!"
"Leave me alone!" Tre squealed.
"Shut him up or he'll alret everyone else!" he orderd.
"Too late for that..." one of his guards looking out of the hospital room door announced. "Here comes some nurses."
"Shit, move out. We'll be back for you...We'll be back."
Tre stuck his tongue out at the group of guards as they left through the window. He just got enough time to straighten his sheets when the nurses arrived. They looked confused. No one else was there except for them and Tre. Had he been talking to himself?
He smiled and waved at one of the nurses, who then bent down to get a look under the bed. Nobody there...She sighed and stood up straight again. What the heck was wrong with him? Well, there was a lot of things...but still.
"Mr. Wright-"
"Mr. COOL." he cut her off.
"Right..."
"Cool!"
The nurse rolled her eyes. "Mr. Cool, who were you just talking to?"
"You."
"No, I mean before me."
"Me."
"Before you!"
"You!"
"Let me handle this Linda." an older nurse said. She stood next to Tre's bed. "Sir, were you talking with anyone besides Linda here and yourself?"
"You."
"Before me."
"Linda."
"Before her."
"Me."
"Okay then, so you were just talking to yourself a minute ago. Before we arrived?"
"Yup."
"That's settled. We'll leave you, but please, keep it quiet Mr. Wright."
"It's Mr. COOL!"
He heard laughs mixed with irritated sighs as the nurses exited. 'That was fun!' Tre reflected. Then he rememberd what the guards had said. 'We'll be back for you...We'll be back.' It was only a matter of time.
He heaved a sigh and sat up, ripping the blankets and sheets off. As he swung his legs gently over the side of the bed, he realized there was nothing he could do to save Mike and Billie. He was crippled! Fighting his better judgment, he stood up anyways.
He didn't HAVE to do this alone. There was...There was....Adrienne! Yeah, she was still around! Well, last time he checked she was. He began to wonder if Bush had gotten to her yet, you know, to use her to torcher Billie or something. It seemed like something Bush would go through with.
Wait. They need all the band members first, so why would they go after Adrienne before him? Or maybe it was because they couldn't get him...So they got her instead. There was only one way to find out.
His legs started to hurt more as he looked around the room for his cell phone. Who was he kidding? It was probably crushed by now. He had to use Billie Joe's or Mike's. He only hoped that one of them had left it in the room.
'Come on, come on, give me a sign damn it.' he thought. A card with the word 'Hello' flew down from the counter. It happened to be a get well card. 'Nice sign, but could you be a bit more SPECIFIC?' With a gust of wind the card opened. The card had a red arrow inside it, and he traced it to the chair Mike had been sitting in. Bingo!
The cell phone was squished into the coushin. He smiled and snatched it, picking up the card at the same time. It read: 'Hello there friend. I understand you've been feeling down lately...' -he turned to the inside- 'So I hope you'll be up again soon!' and the arrow was of course pointing up.
"Thank you..." he whispered as he dialed the home phone's number. After a few rings he wanted to hang up.
"Hello?" Adrienne asked.
"Adie! No time to explain, Billie Joe and Mike have been kidnapped by Bush and he wants me next so get your ass down here. We have to get them out." he spoke.
"Ha ha Tre, very funny. If you wanted to see me, you could've just asked and I would've come down."
"Come down NOW! I'm not lying this time!"
There was a pause. "...Okay. Fine. I'll be there in a minute."
- In a minute -
Sure enough, Adrienne showed up right after the call. When she entered the room she looked skeptical and a little confused. Was this some kind of joke? Sitll, It was the first time she had gotten to see Tre, so she better play it nice for him. Even if it meant believing his stupid stories.
"Okay, let's go." Tre said as he opened the door.
"Go where?" she asked him.
"Bush's prison. Duh." he replied.
Adrienne put a hand on her hip. "What prison?"
"The one he has Billie Joe and Mike stationed at. Don't you listen lady? Come on now!"
"I don't think so."
"Adrienne! Come on, I need your help. You have to be my legs."
"...I meant I don't think so as in I don't think you know where his prison is. Tre, if I am actually to believe you, we need a plan."
Tre closed the door and limped over to her. "Then lets make a plan."
