A week later I decided I should go to work again to get my head around that tre had to make a choice. Claudia or me. Besides I needed to give a reason to Ruth why I ran out crying.
I got to work and Lacy was waiting by the cashier waiting for me to arrive. She had seen me and seen that I looked like shit. I started thinking to myself had Tre sent her to tell me the news.
"Hey Jan Hun how you feeling?" she asked me. God am I so lucky to have a sister like Lacy.
"I'm just tired been crying the whole week...what you here for cause I know you hate this place?" I told her. I could tell it wasn't good what she wanted to tell me.
"Janet eeerrrm...I dunno how to put this but..." she paused she looked at her phone and shown me a text message from Jimmy.
"LACY. GET JANET OVER TO TREE'S HOUSE NOW, HE'S UPSET AND HE NEEDS HER NOW!! I THINK HE'S MADE HIS DECISION AND HE WANTS HER TO BE THERE. JIMMY"
I looked at Lacy she seen that my eyes where swelling up.
"When did you get that?" I asked and I didn't care if a sixteen Paris Hilton wannabe was waving black nail varnish and her dad's credit card.
"2 minuets ago...I'll drive you to Tre's now," she said while dragging me to her car.
We were driving to Tre's in silence as the radio was playing simple plan "untitled." The song was right how could this happen to me!! I couldn't stand this pain anymore. It had to stop. It was either I'd live with Tre or not at all.
"Where here. You gonna be O.K." she said while we were outsides Tre's house. I looked at the house. I could see Tre was standing by the window.
I looked at Lacy and nodded while tears where streaming down my face. She gave me a hug and wiped the tears from my eyes.
"You know he loves you. Now...go get him tiger," she said trying to perk my spirit up. Didn't work at all.
I got out the car and memories came flooding in...lying on the grass in the back garden laughing, when we first met and the first time we had sex then I heard his voice say in my mind the night we made love.
"I love you too Janet..."
Would this be the end of me and Tre?
