Vampires Will Never Hurt You., chapter 7

The sun was beginning to set again. Finally. That was good and bad. On one hand, I didn't have to duck into the shadows as much, on the other hand, I would keep having the uncontrollable urge to bite someone. I couldn't do that. I couldn't kill someone. What if I just had enough that I turned them? No! Sophia, you can't drink their blood. You don't want to put them through what you have to go through.
For a second everything went black, then the images of that night came flooding back into my head.
"No! Leave her alone!" I could hear a voice screaming. It sounded far off. But familiar. I could feel a shearing pain in my neck as two long fangs sunk into it.
I could hear a woman screaming. My mum. My vision was blocked by the torso leaning over me. Who ever it was wore a black shirt. I was trying to struggle, but was being held down. The person, whoever they were must have been too strong.
I could still hear the male voice shouting. It wasn't my dad. It was a different accent.
Whoever it was holding me down got up, I was too weak to move. I saw a shadow moving across the room. My mum's screaming suddenly stopped. I tried to call out to her, but couldn't find my voice. She was dead.
"Sophia!" That was my Dad this time. He half lifted me up before slumping back down against the wall.
"Sophia... " My vision went blank again. I opened my eyes and everything came into focus. I was lying on the kitchen floor, Mike, Tre and Billie Joe were bent over me.
"What happened?" I asked, trying to sit up, making my head spin.
"You, just kind of passed out," Tre said.
"I did?" I asked, confused. What had just happened?
"I guess you did, we were in the living room and Billie said he heard something fall, we came in here and found you out cold on the floor," Mike explained.
I managed to sit up. "Well, that was weird," I managed to gasp, before I slumped back down again.
"Are you alright?" Billie Joe asked. That surprised me actually.
"Yes, I think so,"
"Come on, maybe we should get you to bed," Mike said, he and Tre hoisted me up and managed to walk me to my bedroom.
"Now, you sure you're alright?" Tre asked as the three of them sat on the edge of my bed. To be honest, I was shocked that Billie Joe was still there.
I nodded, thinking about all the voices that I had heard.
I needed to know who that other voice had belonged to. I just had to know. The one that had told the attacker to leave me alone. I wanted to know who the attacker was as well, of course I would want to know. Maybe he didn't mean to do it. Maybe they know a way out of this curse. Maybe.
"Would you like anything to eat?" Tre asked me, standing up from my bed.
'Yes. Blood' I thought. "No thank you," I told him, "But you can help yourself to whatever. I don't have much in though,"
"Thanks," Tre grinned, bounding off downstairs.
Mike was looking out of the window from where he was sat. he looked deep in thought. Like he was trying to figure something out.
I looked at Billie Joe, who, I noticed, looked away from me quickly. He started examining his fingernails.
After a while, I managed to fall asleep.

*In the kitchen*
Billie Joe, Mike and Tre were sat around the table again.
"Wonder what happened to her," Tre said.
"Yeah. That was weird," said Mike
"Think its something to do with her being... you know... " Billie wondered, not wanting to say the word 'vampire'.
"It could be," Mike answered.
"Hmmm," Tre agreed, "Remembered who it was yet Mikey?"
"I don't know. I know it was defiantly a guy, wearing all black and he had an American accent," Mike told them.
"I want to know who it could have been!" Tre burst out.
"I don't know," Mike said, quietly. "The more I think about it, the more I think that I've met him. Or at least seen him somewhere,"
"Maybe it's because you thought about it so much," Billie Joe suggested.
"Maybe... " Mike wondered.

*Back in Sophia's room*
I woke with a start, judging by the light outside, it was about midnight. Oh great. I had been awoken by a dream.
I had been sat, watching the television with my mum and dad. There was someone else in the house. I didn't know who it was, but they were in the bedroom.
The front door had burst open to reveal a shadowed figure against the nights sky. I heard someone running downstairs. My mum started screaming, my Dad got up, prepared to fight off the newcomer. The person at the doorway walked in, his longish dark hair blowing in the wind from outside, I only saw him for a split second before he was behind me, dragging me down to the floor.
"Stay still!" He shouted, I saw his arm pointing towards my mum and dad. I could see them freeze, petrified at what this person may do.
The guy who had been upstairs came into focus. It was Mike.
