Family Man, chapter 1
"But Dad..." Katie whined.
"No Buts about it, you have to take the course. I'm putting my foot down this time." Billie Joe said.
"I hate Mrs. Rowbothum. You know she hates me too dad." Katie gave her dad a 'you know I'm right' kind of look.
"Yes but your mother and I have decided that if you want to pass Social Studies, you'll have to take the after school course with her."
"Ugh, i'll take teh stupid course then, if it'll make mom happy."
"What! Just mom, what about me?"
Katie ran past Billie Joe and into her room, laughing. Billie Joe chuckled as he walked downstairs into the living room, "That girl is so hard to manage!" Billie Joe said to his wife, Adrienne.
Adrienne didn't look up from her magazine, "I told you that having a girl wasn't going to be easy. Especiall a teenage daughter.. Their moody."
"Your telling me." replied Billie Joe.
Billie Joe'soldest son ran out from the kitchen, wearing a towel cape and holding a plastic gun, yelling, "Bang! Bang! I got you Daddy!"
Billie Joe looked at Joey and got up. He slumped over onto one knee and held his cheast, "Oh, Jeoy! You shot me. How could you shoot your own daddy?" then got up and picked his son up, "Want mommy to make you some lunch?" Said Billie Joe looking over at Arienne.
"Yay!" Yelled Joey, "Food." he climbed over Billie Joe and peeked over the magazine at his mother, "Please mommy?" He asked in his most innocent voice.
"Ok baby." Adrienne said, "Wheres Jakob?"
"He's in his room playing with his toys." Joey replied.
"Ok. Well you go get him and i'll fix you some dinner?"
"Ok mommy."
"Now you on the other hand," Adrienne said, looking at Billie Joe, "You can go get Katie. Its almost time for her guitar lessons."
Billie Joe grabed Adrienne around the waist, "I told you a million times. I can teach her guitar lessons."
"Yes but I want her to learn professionaly." Laughed Adrienne. She swatted Billie Joe playfully and went into the kitchen.
"KATIE, COME ON WE HAVE TO GO TO YOUR GUITAR LESSONS!" Billie Joe yelled up the stairs.
Adrienne looked around the corner, "Now I could have doen that."
Billie Joe smiled. Katies door opened and she walked down the stairs into the living room. Billie Joe grabed his car keys and headed out the front door with katie close behind him.
*Three Hours Later*
Billie Joe heard a knock at the door. He opened it and Mike and Tre walked in.
"Hey Bitch" Tre said.
"Uncle Tre! Uncle Mike!" Yelled Joey, as he cam running from the kitchen, leaving his cookie laying on the kitchen table.
"Joey!" Said Tre enthuasticaly, "Wheres Jakob?" Tre Asked just as Jokob was running down the stairs, "Never mind. Heres my man!" Tre hugged the boys. Then it was Mike'sturn to be baraged by the boys.
Katie came down the stairs listening to her MP3 played and looked at Tre and Mike, "Ahhhh!" She screamed. She was only wearing a towel, as she had just got out of the shower, her hair was still wet and not brushed. She turned around and ran up the stairs to her room. She slammed the door and yelled, "i'll be out in a minuete!" everyone knew that she had a crush on Tre Cool. Ever since she first noticed boys, she's loved Tre Cool. But he was her dads best friend and practially her uncle, same with Mike, she trusted them both.
After about a half hour she finally emerged out of her bedroom wearing a black skirt, and a pink and black skull hoodie. She had her hair down straight. She smiled and blushed at Tre and Mike, "Hi guys, whats up?"
"I dunno." Said Mike who was drinking a can of cake.
Katie looked over at Tre and blushed again, "Hi Tre." was all she could say. Before Tre could answer, Katie blurted out, "i have to go to Erikas house, we need to study! Bye Mom, Bye Dad." And with thaqt she kissed Billie Joe and Adrienne on the cheek and ran out of the house, forgetting her purse, which she ran back in for.
Tre jsut looked around, "She can't honestly still liek me, can she?" He asked Billie Joe.
"She can, and she does." He replied.
"I really don't know what she sees in you dude." Said Mike, laughign at Tre.
Tre punched Mike in the arm and said, "Well, maybe i'll have to tell her that I got a girlfriend. I don't want to break her heart, but she'll have to get over me, somehow."
"Dude, you have a girlfriend?" Asked Mike and Billie Joe in unicion.
"No. I'm just thinking of some way to let her down easy. Its called cradle robbing if I date her, not that I would, you know I mean... "Tre stoped talking becasue of the look Billie Joe was giving him.
