Family Man, chapter 12
Katie walked out the doors. A cold wind caught her and she shuddered. She pulled out her cell phone and called Erika, "Hey bitch." She said into her phone. "Whats up?" She asked.
"Nothing much. Just watching some t. V." Her best friend replied.
"Well, get off your lazy ass and come meet me."
"Where?"
"At the coffee shop. I have something to tell you." Katie said
"Alright, alright. I'll go." Erika replied.
"Good girl. Meet me there in like 5 minutes ok?"
"Sure." Erika said as she hung up the phone
Katie arrived at teh coffee shop, happy to be out of the chilly fall air. Sh etook off her coat and sat at her usual booth. She ordered her coffee jsut as Erika walked in, "Hey. Nice to see that you finally arrived."
"Shut up. Oh, I'll have a iced cappuchino." Erkia said to the waitress.
"What the fuck, an iced capp? Its freezing outside and you want an ice capp." Katie said.
"Meh. I love ice capps. Ok so what is it that you wanted to tell me?" Erika asked.
"I think I'm in love with Tre."
"Ohh, big news. Katie you've been in 'love' with his since the 4th grade."
"Yeah, but that was puppy love, I actually think I'm starting to get feelings for him now. Its weird but everytime I see him, even on T. V. I get that weird butterfly thing." Katie replied.
"Its called an infatuation. Come on Katie, what would your dad do if his best friend was dating his daughter, who happens to be like 10 years younger then him." Erika droned on.
"Well, he'd rather me date Tre, then Matt." Katie said with a depressed look on her face.
Erika grabbed Katies chin, "Kate, I knwo you love him, but think of the concquenses."
"COme on, thats not the punk rock way. You have to rebel, and worry about things when they come up. Its not fun to worry." Katie said, with a giggle.
"Even as we talk about Tre, your giggling. Your so dead if your dad finds out."
"Who cares what my dad thinks. As long as I'm happy, dads happy." Katie said
"Whatever you say." Erika said as she took a sip of her coffee.
*At Billie Joe'sand Adriennes House*
Tre looked nervously at Billie Joe.
"What the fuck is your problem dude?" Billie Joe asked.
"N-Nothing man, just worried about Kate" Tre studdered.
"Seriously man, tell me. Your starting to scare me."
"Ok man, I like Katie, and not just 'like' like but 'LIKE' like." Tre managed to get out.
Billie Joe looked at Tre, then smiled, this surprised Tre, alot. "dude, I don't care if you love her, but if you hurt her in anyway, so help me god, i'll kill you. That girl has been through alot in the past few days."
Tre looked at Billie Joe, "I don't want to say anything to her, in case she doesn't feel the same way..." Tre was cut off by Billie Joe
"How can you say that, she's liked you since she was in the 4th grade, of course she likes you."
Tre laughed, "Yeah, maybe i'll talk to her tonight, see if she really does want to try something out."
Just then Adrienne walked into the room, "Just don't have sex, I want her to save that for when she gets married."
"Yeah dude, just don't touch her. You can kiss and all, but no touching. Got it?" Billie Joe said to Tre
"Get it." Tre replied.
"Good." Adrienne laughed.
*Back at the coffee shop*
Kaite and Erika finnished their coffees. They stayed in their seats and talked, "Maybe i'll talk to Tre tonight, just to see if he wants anything." Katie said.
"Of course he'll want something, I mean look at you, you're so beautiful." Erika replied.
"Are you hitting on me?" Katie laughed.
"Oh yeah Kate, I want you sooo bad!" Erika said in a manly voice.
Katie slapped her friend playfully. They left the coffe shop and seperated, going to their own homes.
