Family Man, chapter 2
Katie came hoem from Erikas house late. She opened the front door to the house with her key and wallked into the living room. Billie Joe was watching T.V with Jakob and Joey. "Hey Daddy." Katie said as she ploped down onto the couch beside Joey, "Wheres mom?"
"Sleeping." replied Billie Joe, "Which you guys should be doing right now. So off to bed you go little dudes. I'll bei n soon to read you a story ok?"
"Sure daddy." said Jakob.
Joey jumped up and sat on Katies lap, "I love you big sis." and kissed Katie on the cheek. Jakob jumped up and did the same thing. Katie kissed them both back, and they ran off for bed.
Billie Joe turned to Katie, "Katie, you know, you can keep on loving Tre like you do. Your going to have to get over him. Hes almost twice your age."
"I know dad. I have tried to, you know i have. Its hard. And hes practially my uncle. Its jsut hard. I really like him" Katie replied.
"Well your going to have to find something else to think about when hes here."
"I know." Katie said as she looked nervously at her hands.
"Don't worry. Tre will still love you even if you get over him." Billie Joe laughed.
Katie softly hit her dad in the arm then said, "Well im goign to bed, its nearly 1 in then morning. Moms going to kill you for letting Joey and Jakob say up so late."
"Not if she doesn't find out." Said Billie Joe in a sing song voice.
Kaite just ran up the stairs and intot her room. Billie Joe went into Jeoy and Jakobs room, read them a story. then went into his room to sleep.
*the next day*
Katie woke up early to go to school. It was thier first day. she woke up Joey and her dad, "Coem on Jeoy. Its time to get ready for school hon."
Joey looked up, "Ok Katie, im up. Can you get daddy for me?"
"Ok baby."
Katie walked into her parents room and shook her father gently, "COme on dad, Joey wants you to help him get ready for school."
Biollie Joe mimbled and sat up, rubbed his eyes and got out of bed. Katei walked out of the room and closed the door on her way out. She walked down the stairs and into the kitchen, and fixed her and Joey some breakfast. Billie Je and Joey came down the stairs and sat at the table. Katie served Joey his breakfast. and then sat down to eat hers. Once she was done she went up stairs and tooka shower. She came down the stair a half hour later wearing her school uniform. "Come on now Joey and Katie, i've got to drive you to school." Said Billie Joe.
*After School*
Billie JOe picked up Joey at the playground. Katie had called earlier form her cell phone telling hetr mom se wanted to stay out for a while. Kaite had actuall met a new boy int he school. They were haning out at the local pizza place. The boys name was Matt. He was tall and he had dark hair. He was a punk. When Katie first met him, he was wearing a black hoodie and a pair of black pants. He had on Converse shoes to finnish it off. Katie fell instantly in love.
*later that night*
Katie got out of the taxi and paid the driver the fair. She walked into her house, to find Tre, Mike, Billie JOe and Adrienne sitting around tin the living room drinking. She smiled at all of them, and didn't even blush. Tre looked amazed and asked, "How are you Katie?"
Katie looked right at Tre, "Im feeling fantastic. I have never felt better. And how are you Tre?" she said in a dreamy voice. "Well mom, dad, i think im going to go to bed now. I'll see all of you later." She said without giving Tre the chance to answer.
Billie Joe, Mike, Tre and Adrienne all looked astonished, that was the longest sentance she had ever said to Tre in all of her years.
"Wow. Im speechless" said Billie Joe.
Adrienne just looked from Tre, to up the stairs where Katie had been just minuetes ago.
"Tre, did you do something bad to that child, cos so help me god if you did!? Billie Joe said.
"No. i swear to go, i didn't touch her. Maybe shes finally grown up and she realizes she doesn't need me." Tre replied.
"Perhaps she just has a new boyfrined." Said Mike.
Adrienne finally looked towards the boys, "Mike, how do you know shes got a new boyfriend? God, i hope their not having sex."
"Adi. God. HSes your oldest child, just think about it for a sec. shes almost 17 years old. shes to responsiable for that. Besides i remeber what you were like when you frist feel in love with me. You acted the exact same way."
"I did not!" Said Adrienne.
Miek and Tre laughed, "Yes you were. I remember it all. I was there" Sputtered Mike.
Adrienne just crossed her arms over her cheast and sat back ont he couch, then she started to laugh.
