3 AM Where No One Will Be Found, chapter 8
"No! Kim open your eyes! No Kim don't close your eyes! Omg!"
You bolted awake, gasping for air in a cold sweat. Looking over the clock read 3:45am. This was the third time you woke up after having the same nightmare. The nightmare of that night. You slid out of bed and walked downstairs. Still breathing heavily you paced the living room rubbing the back of your neck trying to calm yourself down. Billie came downstairs a while later it was now about 4:10am.
"Sorry did I wake you?" you asked still pacing.
"No... What are you doing?" Billie asked looking sleepy and confused.
"Pacing the living room." You answered sarcasitcally.
"Well I can see that." Billie laughed while walking over to you and pulling you to sit on the couch next to him.
He watched as your leg shock and you stared at the floor. He reached over and placed a hand on your leg to stop the shaking, making you look up at him.
"You look tired." Billie said concerned.
"I haven't slept much." you answered.
"What's wrong?" Billie asked rubbing your arms to warm you.
"Nothing. I'm fine." you lied.
"You don't seem fine." Billie edged on.
"I know. It's... It's... These silly nightmares. That's all I'll be fine." you admited.
"Hey, hey it's okay you can trust me. I'm here for you." Billie said looking you in the eyes.
"I know, I don't want to bother you with stupid little nightmares." you said trying to hide that you were begining to cry.
"You could never bother me. And these nightmares have to be pretty bad if they're keeping you out of bed with my sexy body." Billie laughed.
"Yea." you laughed.
"Come on you know you want my sex." Billie laughed on.
You laughed more at what Billie had said.
"Now come on lets go back to bed you need some sleep. And whatever happens I'm right there." Billie said pulling you up and leading you up the stairs.
An hour later after crawling back into bed with Billie you still lie awake afriad to go to sleep for fear of having the nightmare again. You hand placed over your stomach you could feel the bandage you decided to leave there until you were ready to see the scar. Sliding out of bed once again you walked over to the full length mirror and lifted your shirt staring at the bandage. Taking a shaky hand you slowly removed the top two pieces of tape letting the bandage fall. Your eyes met for the first time the scar that would forever stay as a mark of the hatred your own father had towards you. Still holding up your shirt your other hand shot to your mouth to stop you from screaming out. Your eyes filled with tears and you began to sob uncontrollablly.
Billie must have heard your sobs, because he shot to your side and put the bandage back on your scar and grasped you in a tight hug where your moans of sorrow were muffled in his shirt.
"Shhhh... It's ok... Shhhh..." Billie tried to console you.
You sobbing slowed thanks to Billie's comfort, and you pulled away wiping your tears.
"I'm sorry... Wow that was embarassing." you said while sitting on the edge of the bed.
"You have no need to be embarrassed. Why were you looking at your scar anyway? I thought you were gonna wait." Billie questioned.
"I was but. I thought you know 'face your fears' but it was just something I don't think I was ready to see yet." you answered.
