Me, MCR and the fire..., chapter 2
I woke up with something covering my mouth and nose, a oxygen mask.
I tried to speak, tried to ask where I was, when I had noticed my mum sitting on a battered grey chair next to my bed, but as I drew breath all I could do was cough.
"Don't try to speak," My mum said standing up.
A different question popped into my mind as I remembered what had happened at the concert. where was Bex? .
"You're in hospital honey," mum announced "And Becki, Ceri and Claire are fine," mum added reading the worried thoughts zooming round my mind.
I relaxed a tiny bit. My chest felt tight and uncomfortable.
A dark haired guy in a white coat came through the dim dingy curtains that hung arround my bad. "Ah, she's decided to join us," he smiled, who was this guy? "Hey Sam, I'm your doctor, Dr Smith." Where did everyone's power of reading minds come from!?
I managed to catch my breath. "What. Hap. Ened. To. Becki?" I managed to say, surely I shouldn't be this bad.
"Becki's fine, she isn't awake yet but she's stable," Dr Smith said, something in his voice told me he was lying. Quickly changing the subject he added "There are some people waiting to see you."
"Are you sure you're up to it love?" mum asked.
"Course. I. Am!" I couldn't say no to visitors (who I knew were Cez and Claire, who else would it be? )
I was trying to sit up when Ceri and Claire poked their heads around the dim curtains.
"Hiya!" Ceri smiled. "How are you?"
"Fine," I smiled back taking my oxygen mask off. Dr Smith, or whatever his name was, brought teo more chaires in so Ceri and Claire could sit down. Remembering Claire's asthma I turned to her "How. Are. You?" I aske, her asthma wasn't as bad as Becki's (who had the worst possible) but I knew the smoke would still affect her.
"I'm ok! I knew I shouldn't have come back but..."
"What?!" I said gasping (which sent me into a huge coughing fit) "You. Came. Back?" I added once I got back to normal.
"I couldn't just leave you guys!" Claire defended herself.
"I tried to stop her but she wanted to show Gerard and Frankie where you were," Ceri told me.
"Gerard. And. Frankie?" I asked confused. "C'mon. Guys. What. Happened? Tell. Me. Everything."
