And Love Said No, chapter 2
It was 8am and everyone was awake, except Tre. Adie had made a pot of coffee and Billie, Mike and Mel went to wake Tre up.
"Tre, time to get up" Mike whispered.
"Why?" Tre murmured and burried his head back in the pillow.
"We need to talk, we just want to help you out" replied Mike.
"Fine" Tre said, after a long pause he sat up.
Adie walked in with the coffee. Everyone took a cup and waited for Tre to speak.
"So Tre, we noticed you've been acting depressed lately, do you wanna tell us why?" said Billie Joe realising Tre wasn't going to speak without prompting.
"Not really" said Tre taking another sip of coffee.
The others looked at each other, they had excpected Tre to talk about it.
"We can't help you if you don't tell us" said Mike
"Well don't help me then" said Tre and stormed up to the bedroom.
They chased after him, when they got upstairs Tre had already locked himself in the bathroom
"Tre please come out"
"NO!" Tre shouted.
Everyone tried there best to coax Tre out of the bathroom, after an hour they decided to leave him to calm down for a bit.
Mel stayed there hoping to get him out.
"Tre its Mel, we've been friends for so long now and you always helped me out when I was feeling down, talking does help, PLEASE let me in"
After a few minutes the door opened, Mel looked at Tre he had red rings around his eyes where he had been crying, his hair was messy and sticking up in all directions and his face was unshaven.
She ran up to him and gave him a big hug, he started to cry on her shoulder. She ran her hands through his hair and whispered comforting words into his ear.
After a while she took his hand and led him to the bedroom they both sat on the bed as Tre told Mel why he had been so upset.
Mel just nodded like she understood even though at times she couldn't understand Tre through his sobbing.
When he had finished Mel gave him a big hug.
"You look tired you should sleep for a bit" said Mel looking at Tre.
Tre said nothing but slipped into the bed, Mel stayed with him rubbing his back until she was sure he was asleep.
When she got downstairs everyone wanted to know what was going on.
"Tre told me what was going on and to be honest, i don't blame him for being depressed"
"What did he say?" asked Sarah, who had just arrived unable to come last night.
"Well basically he feels that he's not good enough for the band and that Kelly cheating on him is all his fault. Claudia is threatening to stop letting him see Frankito"
"How can Tre feel like this? I can't believe Claudia would do that to him,, and as for Kelly cheating..." Mel cut Billie Joe off.
"There is more to Kelly than I thought, can you remember when Tre came back with his head bleeding and all those bruises, he said it was a bar fight. Well it was Kelly she went mad at him for getting home 5 minutes after 10 she threw loads of stuff at him and Tre just took it. He blames himself for losing that excuse for a women." Mel finished looking around at all the stunned faces.
"Poor Tre" was all Sarah could say.
There was a knock at the door, Mike answered it, it was Kelly.
