80, chapter 1
Billie Joe, Mike, and Tre were on tour, sitting in the back of their small white van. Tre looked over at Billie Joe and noticed he was asleep, so he tried to be quiet, but he couldn't help but hit everything in the van with his drum sticks. A few minutes into Tre's "drumming" Billie Joe woke up.
"Do you have to do that right now?" he asked as he opened his eyes, "I don't think I've slept for days."
Tre put the drumsticks down, but went crawling around the van, like he was looking for something or wanted to get into trouble.
"You should know by now that it takes a lot for Tre to sit still." said Mike laughing.
Tre went scrambling through boxes and crates and all the other random stuff they had in the van.
"Aww..." he said in a grossed out way, "You guys shouldnt just leave your dirty underwear lying around anywhere like that."
Billie Joe laughed.
"I think its Billie's." said Mike, "I don't wear 'tighty whities. '"
Tre giggled as he threw the briefs back into the crate.
"Oh shut up." said Billie Joe laughing.
About two hours later, they stopped at a gas station and got gas and some snacks, because they still had a little more than a half hour to drive before they got to their next gig. They were sitting in the van eating cheese curls and goofing off, when Tre put them up his nose getting cheese all over his face, and Billie Joe fell alseep again. When they got to a small town in Minnesota where they were gonna play, Tre shook Billie Joe to wake him up.
"Billie were here!" he said anxiusly, "Billie... Get the fuck up!"
Mike laughed.
Billie Joe got up and put a clean shirt on, because he spilt beer on it during the drive. They got their instruments and went to a small club, where only about twenty or thirty people showed up.
While they were playing, Billie Joe looked to a door at the back of the club, when a beautiful girl, walked in and sat down in the front row.
He smiled at her and just stood there after they finished playing the song because he was in a deep thought about how beautiful she was. So when Mike and Tre started the next song he forgot to sing.
"Billie sing." Mike said trying not to be too loud.
The people who heard him laughed.
It took a few more seconds for Billie Joe to realize he had to sing, so Mike started singing the song for him.
After they finished playing, when they were packing up their instruments, the girl walked up to Billie Joe and asked where she could get their cd.
Billie Joe got a lump in his throat.
