Billie Joe thought about Adrienne throughout the rest of the tour, but couldn't call her at all because they didnt want to waste their gas money at all to use a pay phone.
As soon as they finished up their tour and got back to Berkely, Billie Joe darted out of the van and ran straight to the nearest phone to call Adrienne.
"Hello?" her mom answered.
"Hi, is Adrienne there?" he asked anxously.
"No I'm sorry, she's at her class right now." her mom said
"Oh okay." said Billie Joe sadly.
"Are you Billie? I can tell her to call you back." she said.
"Yeah could ya?" he said happily.
"Oh sure." she said sweetly.
"Thanks, bye." he said.
He hung up the phone, and went outside to where Mike and Tre were still in the van waiting for him to come out of his moms house, so they could go to the small, house they lived at.
"That was quick." said Mike as Billie Joe got in the car.
"I know, you talk about her the whole ride home, and you finally call her but hang up after a few minutes." said Tre.
"I havent talked to her yet." said Billie Joe in an annoyed tone, "Her mom answered and said she was at her class."
"Class?" said Tre in a confused way, "You mean high school?"
"She cant be in high school, I think she's older than me." said Billie Joe in a confused way.
"Maybe she goes to college." said Mike.
"Maybe..., I'll ask her next time I talk to her." he said.
"Youre not gonna see her very much." said Tre, "Unless you keep going to Minnesota, or she comes here."
"We can go to Minnesota on a tour again." said Billie Joe anxoiusly.
Mike laughed.
When they got to their house, Billie Joe ran into the "family room" (like the one in the longview video) and sat by the phone.
"Is that all youre gonna do for the rest of the night, is sit by the phone and wait?" asked Mike.
"Theres nothing else to do now anyways." he smiled, "And I wanna be here when she calls."
Tre sat on the couch next to Billie Joe with another bag of cheese curls.
"It'd be funny if she didnt call, and you sat here all night waiting for her." said Tre laughed.
"She's gonna call I know it." said Billie Joe confidentally.
A few hours later, there was cheese curls all over the room from Tre, who had fallen asleep on the couch on top of Billie Joe, who was still waiting for Adrienne to call, and Mike was at his friend Jasons house. (not Jason White, Jason Andrew Relva)
Then finally the phone rang, waking Tre who reached over and grabbed it before Billie Joe.
"Hello?!" he said in a loud way.
Billie Joe couldn't hear what Adrienne was saying to Tre.
"Oh yes, he's been DYING to talk to you, havent ya Billie?" said Tre obnoxiously.
"Tre give me the damn phone." said Billie Joe who could hear Adrienne laughing.
