Billie Joe arrived at the apartment where a young woman's body had been discovered by a worried neighbour. Paige McGowan had been killed around midnight by asphixation. Billie Joe looked at her as she lay in the hallway, she looked strickingly similar to Rose. Billie Joe's worst fear had been confirmed - there was a seriel killer on the loose. Not only that, he was escalating, previously he had stalked his victims first, got to know their routine, memorised their every move, creatures of habbit were always the easiest targets.
After a quick, prelim check of the room, Billie Joe had found one wine glass with lipstick on the side matching the colour that Paige was wearing, but the evidence wasn't just what was there it was also what was missing. In a set of photoframes, one was gone and also in a set of ornamental ducks there appeared to be one gone from that as well, There was only one dish and set of cutlery still left, uncleared on the dinning table but in the trash one of those microwavable dish for two was sitting precariously on the top. The killer was smart and diffinetley had some sort of forensic knowledge, he had taken with him everything that he had touched to avoid prints being picked up and judging by the lack of success tre had had with dustling around the room he had wipped all the surfaces clear too.
Billie Joe was stuck, he and his team needed help. Mike suggested that they bring in a criminal profiler to assit the investigation and Billie Joe knew the perfect person for this job. He had worked with her on cases before and had always found her profiles very accurate and helpful indeed. Her name was Steph and she was Enland's finest but had been drafted over to the United States three years previous to work on one of the biggest manhunts and high profilled case their had been sine the Boston strip-strangler in the 1960's.
