One more. If he killed one more then he would be what the FBI would class as a serial killer. Maybe then he'd stop. The police were obviously getting nowhere, even that forensics guy seemed to have nothing but that was how he had planned it. The removal and clean up of Paige's appartment was a very smart move and he knew it. He was proud at himself - he'd was one step ahead of them all. They hadn't even seemed to have linked the killing of Emily Matthews to the killings of both Rose and Paige but it was only a matter of time. There had been some coverage of the murders in the press but not enough for his liking - they hadn't even bothered to give the killer a name like the strip-stangler, the BTK killer or jack-the-ripper! He wasn't pleased about this. No. He wouldn't stop. He was untouchable, unstoppable, he'd show them all. The boy who was told he would never amount to anything would prove himself, they'd all be sorry that they ever doubted him. He would be infamous, immortal, it would haunt the police for decades to come. He would never stop. Tonight, he had to kill again, there was no way he could wait any longer, it was like a drug and he was addicted. Nothing in life could ever compare to killing someone, it was the ultimate high, an unbeatable adrenaline rush. He remembered his first sexual experiance, it didn't even come close. He remembered how afterwords he had lay on her bed and thought of how sex was over rated and it was then that he knew. Soon after that first night, he would imagine he was forcing her, strangling her, Nicole he thought her name was and although it did heighten the experience greatly for him she didn't appreciate the thumb marks on her neck and a week later she had died her hair purple and was going with some green haired punk. The few other relationships that he had had since Nicole ended on much the same way, the woman began to find him weird and couldn't break up with him quick enough. He didn't care though, sex wasn't really his thing but rape, murder, that was, he couldn't help himself, it was who he was after all.

Mean while, back in the lab, Billie Joe and Mike sat in the briefing room, listening intently to the profile that Steph had drawn up.

"Well, he's obviously someone with some sort of forensic knowledge but this was probally only picked up by reading books and watching the discovery chanel. He's been very good at covering his tracks and shows to have an above avarage intelligence. The two murders..."
"Actually that would be three..." Mike interuppted, " We've now established a link to the Emily Matthews murder, we're certain that its the same perp, the victim was similar in size and appearance to the others, the M.O the exact same, raped then strangled, close to where the body of Rose Murphy was found."
" O.K, the three murders have all taken place in close locality to one another, in places where he knew they would be qiuet, which indicated that he knows the area, so probally lives within a 2 mile radious of the crime scenes or frequents the area often perhaps for work. He seemed to know their daily routine, they were all creatured of habbit, so he probally stalks them first. With the last murder - Paige's, he seems to hurry this part showing that his appetite for killing is growing stronger and he'll probally attempt to kill again very soon. He is escalating, getting more bold, he convinced Paige to let him into her apartment so he must appear to be friendly, trustworthy, maybe helping them with something, doing something for them. The problem is he could be anyone, the guy sitting opposite on the bus, the man browsing through items at the supermarket, the man who seems just by chance to be around when something, trivial goes wrong like a bag bursting or dropping your keys, who takes the time to stop and help them, chat away to them, perhaps even flirt and charm them. Profiling can only do so much to help the investigation but the rest is your job, I have a meeting but call me if I can assit any further."
"Thanks a lot" Billie Joe said to Steph as she departed, leaving him alone with Mike, not much further from where the were.
"Great, we're only looking for everyman in the city, that shouldn't be too hard! I have to tell you I'm really worried about this one, he's good at covering his tracks, too good, I don't think we'll stop him before he kills again and thats what scares me." Mike confessed.
"Usually I rely on being cleverer that the perp but this time I feel like he's running rings around me, he always one step ahead and I think you're right, he's going to kill again and again and they only way we're going to be able to stop him is if he slips up or confesses, a scenario I don't see happening any time soon. He's got the upper hand on this one."

There she was, sitting alone at the table, checking her watch constantly, drumming her fingers on the table, looking up everytime someone came in the door. She'd been stood up, it was obvious. This was his chance, his way in. He made her way over to her, taking her in. She was beautiful. Her hair was sitting neatly on her shoulders, black and her eyes sparkled like sapphires. He took a deep breath, making the pretence of a nervous guy plucking up the courage to make a move on the cute girl across the bar but her wasn't nervous, he was strong and confident, after all her had already killed 3 woman, she was easy pray, a sitting duck, there was nothing to she could do, it was fate that they would meet, her destiny, love at forst sight. He knew it, he felt it, he loved this woman.
