He had done it, number four meant that he was now a recognised serial killer, well, as soon as the police discovered the body of the young woman he had loved. He felt proud of himself, it was the first thing he had ever acomplished in his life. He remembered his dad screaming in his ear how he was good for nothing, a burden on the family, as he hit repeatidly, swearing at him. His teachers were the same. They told him he would never amount to anything, he was a wastee, wasting his life and wasting their time. The other kids were the worst though. They laughed at him, called him names, especially the girls. It was then that he remembered Jill Bradshaw, his first love. He had loved her and when eventually worked up the courage to tell her she had laughed in his face, told him that he was a creep and she didnt want him anywhere near her. And when she told all her friends about the freak that had just poured out his heart and soul to her, the ridicule that he received made him feel so low, so himilulated.

It was at that moment that he had decided never to let a woman do that to him again and now that he had made sure that he would never be a laughing stalk again. He had heard it on the local news, women being warned of a preditor, to be careful and on the lookout. Before he had been a joke but now he was a figure of fear, an anonymous figure haunting them. Knowing this gave him strength, made him feel powerful, confident. This stength fuelled him, gave him energy. He had made up his mind, he was never going to stop. He would mount to something, he would become the most feared killer in history, more notorious that the Yorkshire Ripper, more legendary than probally the most famous of all serial killers, Jack the Ripper. Even after he was dead and gone his name would still send shivers down the spines of women everywhere and the police officers that failed to catch him would be tortured forever, knowing that they were responsible for the deaths of all those innocent women.

"Bad news Billie Joe" Mike addressed his close friend and collegue, "There's been another murder, fits the bill, vic was same appearance as the others, killed the same way. Here's the address to her apartment, close proximity to our last vic's, killed in the same way as well."
Billie Joe sighed, he had feared that he would kill again and now he had. He now expected that when he arrived at the crime scene not to find much if any evidence. The killer was as he has feared, smarter than he was, he wasnt likely to have left anything incriminating behind.

Just as he had though, nothing that could possibly lead to indentification. At this moment in time the perp seemed unstopable and that was terrifing. Billie Joe felt so helpless, so useless, it was suppose to be his job to help apprehend the killer, stop him from killing again and he was failing. He had never been in this position before and it was unsettling, how many more women were going to lose their lives before he managed to stop him. But he would, Billie Joe wouldn't rest till he was behind bars.

"No prints, hairs, fibres, nothing" Tre informed him, " But we do have an eyewitness this time, well, we have a neighbour who saw a man leave early this morning with a sports bag. Gave a description to Mike, not much to go on but its something at least".
"Yeah" Billie Joe agreeded but he knew that it wouldn't lead to anything. There must be something he could do, someway to catch the perp out. He had to start thinking outside the box. It was back to the drawing board so he headed back to the station to get caught up with Mike and see what progress they could make.

It was Adrienne Nesser's day off and she decided that to do a bit of retail therapy. It was a stressful job being medical examiner and to be honest it was slightly unnerving everytime a new victim of this serial killer landed up on her table, the resembalence of her made her shiver, thinking just how easily it could have been her. Life was precious and you had to make the most of it while you still could. If her job taught her anything it was that.

He watched her as she strolled around the shops, stopping to inspect clothes, placing them against her curvascious figure, seeing how they looked on her, occasionaly buying. He knew that she was the one, all the others were just infatuations compared with her. He was madly and deeply in love with her and wanted to tell her, no, he wanted to show her. She wouldn't laugh at him, make fun of him, he knew it, she would love him too. She ordered a cuppacino at sat down at anoccupied table. She began looking her purse for something but as she did so it contents spilled onto the floor.

"Here you go" he said politely and she smiled, thanking the kind stranger for helping her. He smiled back at her and acting on impulse asked to join her. She was unsure at first but as the man blushed sheepishly and appoligised for being so forward she reconsidered. He sat down opposite and introduced himself.
"Nice to meet, I'm Adrienne" she told him and they began chatting happily. He was quite charming and sweet she thought, glad that she had accepted his offer. He knew that this time it was different, she was special, he would have to take him time with this one, savour every moment with her. This time he knew he truely was in love.
