The Titleless Story, chapter 12

>Joey's POV<

"Joey," I heard a faint voice before the plug was removed. I stepped forward so I could hear properly.
"Lindsey?" I asked taking her hand in mine. She slowly opened her eyes halfway, and at the sight of me hovering over her, she opened them up fully. She blinked the tiredness out of her eyes that had been shut for 3 weeks. No words needed. Emotions were strong and flowing out of our eyes. I stared into her aqua marine eyes, and she stared into my identical ones. I opened my mouth to talk, but I quickly closed it to kiss her. All the worries, doubts, and thoughts escaped my mind as I felt her alive again. This was all I ever wanted. All I ever dreamed about. Never and I mean never would I let this happen again.

>Nikki's POV<
Though worries of Frank coming back, we all settled back into our peaceful houses that stood right next together. Trey on the other hand was getting himself down over the fact he didn't believe Joey. Tension was still there between the two, but they wouldn't let it get to them. I raised my head out of my thoughts and looked down the row of women standing beside me. All dressed in coral pink dresses, Minni, Dani (Lindsey's cousin) and myself stood there, holding our own separate bouquets. The guys stood across from us all in a row as well. In their laid-back black tuxes and their converse, Tre, Brandon and Joey's old friend Mike. Leave it to Joey to make them look like they were taking us to dinner not a wedding. I directed my eyes to Tre who was madly twiddling his thumbs. I rolled my eyes and giggled slightly until Minni elbowed me slightly.
Tre noticed and looked up only to smile one of those, "This is boring" smiles.
I smiled back and looked down the aisle. Lindsey was to arrive at any moment. Back at the altar, Joey was standing there, nervously biting his lip and going over the not hidden well enough vows on his wrist. I rolled my eyes and shot my eyes to the aisle entrance. At first I thought I was seeing things, but then I saw a little of Lindsey's coral dress peeking around the corner. I stood up strait and stared at Joey, trying to get him to notice his bride turning the corner. He looked up at me then directed his attention to Lindsey. He smiled a dorky nervous smile and rolled down his sleeve to hide the "cheat sheet". All the guys stood up strait and watched as Lindsey made her way down the cream colored aisle. She smiled at us and winked at Joey. He put on his "I'm gonna get lucky" smile and turned when she stopped right next to him. All the guests took their seats and quickly turned their attention to our happy couple that had their hand linked together.
"Dearly Beloved... "

"Man, I am so drunk right now," whined Joey with a glass of champagne in his hand. Lindsey giggled hard and took a sip of hers. Trey and I were a little buzzed, but still coherent. I sighed at Minni and Brandon dancing although no music was playing. It was funny though because we were the only people there. Well, besides a tall blonde outside smoking.
"I'll be back," Joey got up and walked out into the lobby and disappeared.
"Where is he headed?" Lindsey asked from her place in the center.
"He said something about the bathroom," Brandon said dipping Minni. I laughed and took Trey's hand.
"Let's dance!" I yelled. He smiled and let out a slight laugh.
"Errbody in the club get tipsy" Joey yelled from the lobby.
"I think he's having problems," Lindsey sighed. I was dancing with Trey when I saw a piece of paper on the ground. I left Trey to go get it. It was aimed near the trash, but I guess it missed. I gasped in shock as I read it.

Dear Diary,
I'm really worried. I mean I'm pregnant, but I don't think it's his...

I noticed the "I" was dotted with a heart; this was written non other than...

I ran out to the lobby where Joey was heard from. Bathroom break? Yeah right. Right against the wall was the tall blonde with Joey right pressed against her, making out. And I mean MAKING OUT!
I dropped my champagne glass and it shattered with such force, it seemed like it was slow motion. At almost the same time, Joey turned and saw me there and Lindsey came running around the corner only to stop and widen her eyes. Joey widened his eyes with realization of what was going on. He looked from the girl he was holding around the waist and back at Lindsey who was standing there breathing deeply and looking around on the ground. She put her hand to her heart and closed her eyes forcing back the tears. Minni and Brandon came darting around the corner only to stop dead in their tracks with the sight of Joey mooching another woman.
"... Lindsey," he quietly said.

>Brandon's POV<
Holy fucking shit. Here we go... Lindsey stood up as strait as she could and took one step closer to Joey. He let go of the girl, and the girl stood right there shocked as well.
"... What... The fuck were you... Thinking?" Lindsey asked baling her fists tightly. I took a deep breath and Minni held my hand tightly. Nikki clenched a piece of paper that was in her hand.
"... Lindsey," he said reaching an arm out to her. She bit her lip frustrated with him. She had snapped right when he touched her shoulder. She turned her head slightly to look at the hand that had the ring on it. Within a second, she slapped him with such force, he stumbled back and had to grab the reception counter to keep himself from falling.
"... Fuck," he said under his breath. Now Lindsey was hurt. Tears were running down her face and dropping down to the sandy tiled ground. Each tear looked like it would fall in slow motion. One hitting the ground with each second that passed. She finally stepped forward.
"... Now that I think about it, I regret ever saying yes," she whispered. But surly enough we all heard it. The pain she was in poisoned her every word. Joey stood blankly staring at her. Terror surrounded the two of them. Now Nikki was crying, clenching the same paper from before, except tighter. She bit her lip as Lindsey went on.
"If I never said yes, we wouldn't have gone to the playground, and Frank would of never shown up, and you and I both would of never had to go to the hospital. I wouldn't have to deal with all this bull shit. I wouldn't have to deal with you!" she shouted. Joey gasped at her words. He took a step back, and then eased up to confront her.
"What proof do you have that he wouldn't show up? Uh? You never know Lindsey! If you hadn't say yes, and he showed up, you would probably be DEAD!" he yelled leaning towards her. She stepped back and held her throat, shocked at what he thought. She closed her eyes, more hurt than angry. I looked at Joey's regretful eyes. I knew he didn't mean to say that. It was just a spur of the moment. She held both hands against her chest crying softly. He stepped forward and bit his lip nervously. She put one leg back and breathed heavily.
"... Maybe I'm better off dead." She quietly sighed and took off her ring. We all stared at it for a moment, and watched as she threw it at him. It clanged against the tile as I heard her heels walk off slowly. Trey looked at Joey and shook his head.
"You're an asshole Joey. You can't seem to control yourself can you," he said quietly. "Can you!" he yelled making Minni tense up. I held onto her hand tightly and bit my lip.
"You. You are the most untrustworthy person I've ever met. I don't even know what goes on in your head sometimes. You've made the biggest mistake of your life. You have lost the love of your life. Your future AND your life. I hope you burn in hell Joey Larson." Trey turned on one heel and walked a few steps.
"You not the only one who has made a mistake," Nikki finally talked. This made Trey turn around and raise his arms slightly in the air. Joey raised his head and stared at Nikki.
"A night of confessions Joey... I found this by the trash- can... " she raised her hand and revealed the crumbled piece of paper. Joey weakly took it and read it to himself. Soon after he read it, he released the paper, making it float down to the ground. It soaked into the small pool of tears left by Lindsey.
"What... What is this supposed to mean?" he asked softly. Nikki took a step back and Trey grabbed her shoulders to keep her from falling.
"I just found it lying there on the ground Joey, I didn't know it was Lindsey's until... " Joey went wide- eyed and hung his mouth open slightly.
"This... Lindsey wrote this?" he asked taking a gulp. Great, more drama. Yippee for us! I sighed and Minni took a step forward.
"I know what this is about Joey, she was going to tell you eventually," Minni was trying her best to keep herself calm.
"What do you mean she was going to tell me eventually? She should of told me a long time ago that she was pregnant with someone else's baby!" he screamed at her. Minni, as shocked as she was backed up into me, this, crossed the line. I stepped in front of Minni and looked Joey strait in the eyes.
"Don't yell at Minni Joey, it's not her fault," I said shaking my head slightly. He snorted and laughed slightly.
"Why isn't it her fault? Uh? She knew all along that Lindsey cheated!" he said stepping towards me. I bit my lip and winced at him. Minni stepped to me, but I pushed her back gently.
"You better make sure she isn't pulling your strings as well," he spat. With that I snapped. I grinded my teeth and swung my fist right into his cheek. Nikki covered her mouth with both hands and Trey held her back to protect her.
"You are a dumb-ass Joey. You don't even think before you speak. Never have you said anything so hurtful. I can't believe you Joey. You just had gotten you girlfriend back after she nearly DIED, and all you can do is get drunk and grab another random girls ass! And then when she's yelling at you for doing something horrible, you make it worse by opening your mouth. And now you've crossed the line. You've lost everything. I hope Lindsey never forgives you. You are a worthless, unforgiving bastard. Fuck you Mr. Larson." I stared at him for a second and took Minni's hand and we left. Soon after, Nikki and Trey appeared from the hotel where the reception was held and we glanced at each other. Minni was crying in my arms, and Nikki in Trey's. Trey sighed and shook his head. They walked off and I held Minni close.

>Joey's POV<
I'm a worthless piece of shit. Just like Brandon said. What is wrong with my mind? I don't even know how I'm going to approach her. Her parents won't even let me see her. Man this time I fucked up big time. No turning back now... I had to talk to her.
[i]I tried to be perfect, but nothing was worth it, I don't believe it makes me real.
I thought it be easy, but no one believes me, and that's all the things I've said.
If you believe it's in my soul, I'll say all the words I know, Just to see if it would show,
That I'm trying to let you know... [i/]
