The Titleless Story, chapter 2

>Brandon's POV<
I was really curious about who I looked like. Maybe I had met her before and just forgot. I looked down at what she was looking at and noticed our hands were still shaking hers. I quickly pulled out my hand and put them in my pockets blushing. She was too. I stared into her eyes. They were a lighter shade of green than mine but still had that piercing effect. Her hair was a little messy due to the stress but the dark auburn- red hair still shined in the sunlight. It made my stomach do belly flips. She reached for her face again and closed her eyes in pain. I didn't like seeing her in pain it made me feel so sorry for her.
"Do you want to come over to my place and get your self cleaned up?" I nervously asked.
"Sure. I couldn't stand going back in there with my dad in that condition." She had a worried tone in her voice as if she was scared of him.
"Don't get stressed over it. I'm sure that he'll calm down." I was trying my best to reassure her and it seemed to be working.
"Oh shit... I forgot to tell you my name... It's... "
"Meloney. Right?" I finished for her.
"Yeah." She said turning a bright pink color. "But please, call me Minni."
"Ok, Minni." I laughed.
It made her smile, but I could tell it made her bruise hurt.

>Minni's POV<
It was nice to know that there were other people my age here. Brandon seemed nice. He treated me like someone who really cared. Something that rarely happened in my life. I was happy to know he lived next door. Before we went up his driveway, he pointed to his other neighbor and told me that one of his best friends lived there. The other two houses next to that one belonged to my friend Lindsey and apparently the other one belonged to her new 'friend', Joey. I laughed at the coincidence that she had never noticed that she had three guys living right next door to her, and she had been living there all her life.
"Ahh, home sweet home," Brandon muttered. We entered threw the garage and he left it alone.
"Sit here and stay put while I get something for your bruise," he sounded concerned and a little worried but I brushed it off, as it was no big deal. He came back with two Cokes and an ice pack.
"Here you go Minni." He then handed me the ice pack and the even colder Coke. Both things were very refreshing. An ice pack on my now forgotten bruise and downing one Coke after another. God, for as long as I could remember I was addicted to Coke-a-Cola.
"You feeling better?" He asked staring into her eyes. I caught him staring and he quickly looked away blushing a light red-ish color on his face.
"Yeah, but I'm worried that when I go home my dad is going to hurt me again, except harder... " I started trailing off when Brandon put his arm around me. It kind of freaked me out, but I could tell that he really did care.
"So what happened with your mom?" he nervously asked. I he'sitated at first, but I thought it would be nice to let all my worries go.
"She's back in New York. She didn't raise me very well, and she eventually just gave up and kicked me out like a pet. I was forced to come here with my dad, who also sucks at raising me too. I never really liked my family, but until I'm eighteen, I'm stuck with them." I was trying to put on a smile, but the tears fought threw and I let a few go. I turned to look at him and he slowly moved his hand from my back to my check. He wiped my tears away and just stared into my eyes. He started leaning in and I showed no signs of stopping him.

>Brandon's POV<
I didn't really know what I was doing but she didn't stop me so I kept coming closer to her face but backed away when hearing Joey come in.
"WOW Brandon! Already getting action!?" he surprisingly asked. I quickly looked at him and gave him a piercing look. I looked back at Minni and she was blushing really bright. I looked at Joey again realizing he had a girl at his side and they were holding hands. "The girl from earlier" I thought.
"Yeah but Joey, you barely met her too so don't start scolding me. That's Trey's job." I joked.
"Whatever," he sighed.

>Minni's POV<
I was blushing really hard and I knew it. I couldn't believe that I was about to lip lock a guy that I had just barely met. But I was also glad that Lindsey and Whatshisname-Joey stopped us.
"Minni! I can't believe you! You little tramp!" yelled Lindsey in a joking voice.
"Oh don't be a hypocrite Lindsey!" I said giggling. Brandon looked at me after I said that. I think he was surprised that I was ok for what he was about to do. I was shocked at myself. I bit my lip and looked down at my feet and laughed when I realized I was still wearing one of Lindsey's flip-flops and she was wearing one of mine.
"Um, Lindsey, can I have my flip-flop back?" I asked her waving hers in front of me.
"Oh! I completely forgot about that!" She quickly flung of the shoe and we swapped while the guys burst into laughing.
"What?" I asked giggling.
"Why... Do... You swap... Shoes like that...?" Asked Brandon in between laughs.
"I'm not really sure," I replied laughing.
"Weirdoes," laughed Joey. Lindsey then playfully elbowed him in the ribs. I giggled at this. They had just met a few minutes ago, and now were a couple. Obviously they were happy so I was happy, for them at least.
"So Brandon, I assume that this lovely lady here is your girlfriend?" Joey asked laughing slightly. Brandon started blushing as he gave his answer.
"I, err... Ummm. Well," Lindsey and I both started to giggle softly and I started turning a pinky colour. I was really embarrassed and I could tell that he was too.

>Brandon's POV<
Damn Joey! I swear sometimes he can be really annoying. I hate it when he embarrasses me in front of girls. Even his girlfriends. I just wanted him to leave Minni and I alone. I knew I shouldn't have pulled that number on her, but I didn't want to ruin the moment. What was I talking about? Of coarse I ruined the moment. I just hope that there would be another so I can lip lock with her.

>Lindsey's POV<
It was so cute seeing a guy blushing over a girl. It reminded me of childhood crushes. I giggled in my mind at the thought of him and Minni hooking up. They would look oh so cute together. Almost as cute as I looked with Joey. Even though I met him like a half an hour ago, I really liked him. I mean we had already played tonsil hockey at his house. Well we weren't inside his house we were actually standing outside his front door, not caring if his parents saw us. I accidentally laughed aloud when I thought about us.
"What?" asked Joey.
"Oh... Nothing. I was just thinking about something funny" I lied but I giggled anyway pushing the thought to the back of my mind.
"Were you two playing tonsil hockey?" asked Minni in a giggling voice. I looked at her and put a devilish smile on my face. She knew the answer but Joey just had to blurt out and make my embarrassment worse.
"Hell yeah we did!" he yelled out proudly. I playfully elbowed him in the ribs again. He looked at me and smiled that adorable grin again. Instantly the blushing went away.
"Well now we can say that everyone has gotten embarrassed today except ME!" boasted Joey. I giggled and we walked off.

>Minni's POV<
"Like Bye Lindsey!" I yelled as she walked of. I looked back to see that Brandon had stopped blushing, but still had a pinky colour due to me looking at him so suddenly. I looked back down at my feet and noticed my toenail polish was fading. Usually when I was nervous, I noticed stuff that I never noticed before. I realized that a bruise was beginning to appear on my foot because I dropped a box on it. To many thoughts kept entering my head and making my head hurt. Things that didn't need to be in there were taking over the important things like getting home, as it was nearly 8:00. I closed my eyes tightly as I tried to shake all those thoughts out my head.
"What's the matter?" asked Brandon in a worried tone. I bit my lip not wanting to tell him the answer, as he would be even more worried. But I had to tell the truth, as it was a habit of mine.
"I need to go home... Before my dad kills me." I didn't mean to say that last part, but I knew it was to late. The words had already escaped my lips making him shake. He looked at me like he was really worried. I bit my lip in frustration at the fact that I couldn't just say, "I need to go home" I was so upset with myself. I slowly got up and headed towards the door.

>Brandon's POV<
I had to stop her. I didn't want her to get hurt. I quickly got up and grabbed her wrist making her turn around. She didn't say anything, but I could read her mind. She was amazed that I cared so much about her even if we met an hour ago. I couldn't believe what I was doing. I liked her so much. What am I kidding? I loved her. I guess there is such thing as love at first sight. We just stood there in silence. This time I knew it was the right moment. I slowly moved towards her face and she closed her eyes. All the thoughts escaped my head as my lips touched hers and we shared a long passionate lip lock. I slowly pulled away thinking about what I had just done. She still had her eyes closed.
"Please be careful, Minni." I softly said. She quietly nodded and walked away. I had to get some thinking done so I grabbed my jacket and went outside.
