Fame, Fortune, and Green Day, chapter 11
"MY BIRTHDAY'S TOMARROW! MY BITHDAY"S TOMARROW!!!" Bee yelled as she skipped around Mike and Laura's living room.
"Hey you guys..." she said looking at Laura, Mike, Billie and Tre. "Guess what..."
"We know, we know...your birthday's tomorrow." Mike said rolling his eyes. Bee stuck her tongue out and flopped down on the couch.
"OH MY FUCK! Your birthday is tomorrow????" Tre said. He got up and ran over to Brittney. He pulled her off the couch and proceeded to dance around in circles with her, screaming "Your birthday's tomorrow!!! Your birthday's tomorrow." Billie glared at Tre. He was worried that Tre, being so absent minded, would spill the beans about the surprise party they were throwing for her. He stood up and walked over to Tre and grabbed him.
"Well we better get going." he said. "We'll see you guys in the morning." Mike walked over to the door where Billie and Tre were standing.
"Have fun you guys." Bee said as Billie bent down to kiss her on the forehead. Billie, Mike and Tre were supposedly going to work on their next tour, but in reality they were going over to Billie's house to set up for the surprise party tomorrow. Laura knew this but was sworn not to tell. They were also moving all of Bee's things into Billie's huge walk in closet, seeing as part of her birthday present was that she would be moving in with him. Bee stood there looking in the mirror with a pout on her face.
"What's wrong Bee?" Laura said.
"I'm bored with it." she said.
"With what?"
Bee picked up a strand of her long blonde hair. "This...let's do something to it."
"AWWWWW but Bee you CAN'T cut it!!!! It's so long and pretty." Laura shrieked.
"Nope....I wanna dye it...C'mon" She yelled for Joey and Jake to come downstairs. They too were spending the night at Laura and Mike's. It was their father's weekend with them and he couldn't very well bring them along to plan for their "new tour" without it seeming somewhat suspicious. Joey and Jake came running down the stairs.
"Get your shoes on my loves." Bee said to them. "We're going to the drugstore and then we'll go for pizza, ok?"
"PIIIIIIIIZZZZZZAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA" Joey shouted. The two boys scrambled to get their shoes on. Bee had thought that maybe Joey and Jake would not have liked her when they met after the Disney trip. Especially since Billie Joe had introduced them to her as "Daddy's new girlfriend." But it was quite the opposite. The boys had taken to her right away, and she enjoyed spending time with them. She had even met Adie, who, much to her surprise was really sweet and not bitter in the least.
"COME ON BEEEEEEEE!!!! PIZZAAAAAAA!!" Joey shouted as he grabbed her hand and led her to the door. Jake grabbed Laura and they all walked out to Bee's new light yellow VW Beetle convertible. She buckled Joey and Jake in the back seats and then hopped in the front with Laura.

They were in the hair dye section of the local drugstore.
"How about this one?" Laura said extending a box of auburn hair dye toward Bee.
"No, too dark." she said, chewing her lip and scanning the rows and rows of hair dye for the perfect color. "AHA! she yelled. "Is this Allie in The Notebook or what?"
"It's really really pretty." Laura said nodding her head.
"Ok, then lets go before I lose my nerve." Bee grabbed the box of "Excellence Creme- Reddish Blonde" hair dye and walked to the cash register. Once she paid she grabbed Jake and bolted out of the store before she could change her mind, Laura and Joey trailing closely behind them. It was 9 o'clock. Way past the boy's bedtime, so on the way to get pizza they fell asleep.
"Should I wake them...?" Bee said in a whisper.
"Naaaah, let 'em go." Laura replied. So they drove back to Laura and Mike's house.

After putting the sleeping Joey and Jake in the beds in the spare room, Bee and Laura went to work on Bee's hair.
"It's purple...why is the dye purple?" Bee said sounding more then a little nervous.
"Relax...your hair isn't gonna be purple." Laura said rolling her eyes. Bee looked in the huge full length mirror in Laura and Mike's room, and started cracking up.
"What? What's so funny? Bee I think you're losing it..."
"No, no look at the splotch of purple dye on my neck." she said giggling. "It looks like I have leprosy." Laura too burst into a fit of laughter. It was soon stopped however by the loud BEEEEEEP of the timer. They looked at each other and then ran to the bathroom to wash and dry Bee's hair.
"OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! It looks sooo pretty!"
"Thank you...I kinda agree." Bee said. "But will Billie like it?"
"Billie would probably like you even if you were bald hon." Laura said.
"EWWW. No don't push it" Bee said, giggling.
"We better get some sleep." Laura said. "We're going shopping for a bitching' new outfit for your birthday first thing in the morning."
"Ok, ok. Can I call Billie first?" Bee asked.
"Error...NO! I...I mean no him and the guys are probably pretty busy...and if you want Billie back then you don't wanna delay them. You know?"
"Ok I guess. Well goodnight then." Bee said as she padded down the hall to spare bedroom number two. She took one last look at her new hair, smiled, and crawled into bed. She couldn't wait to call her mom again tomorrow. She had been calling her a few times a week, trying to get her to come up one week so she could meet Billie in person. So far though both of their schedules weren't cooperating. Maybe one day soon. Maybe one day soon.... Bee thought as she drifted into dreamland.
