Fame, Fortune, and Green Day, chapter 12
"BRITTNEY BRITTNEY BRITTNEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAAAAKKKKEEEE UUUUP!!" Joey screamed as he jumped up and down on the bed Bee was sleeping on, as well as on Bee herself.
"Hermp." Bee grunted.
"Boo Bear wake up! It's your birthday and we're going shooooppping." Laura said in a singsongy voice. Bee sat straight up in bed. If there was anything Bee loved as much as Billie Joe and drums....it had to be shopping.
"We are? We are?" Bee said grinning retardedly.
"Mmhmm. Adie is gonna be here any minute to pick up Joey and Jake, and then we're out of here!"
"WOO HOO!" Bee said as she did her happy dance. "But I don't have money on me and Billie didn't leave his credit card."
"Silly Willy!!! Mikey left his credit card. You know the platinum one?" Laura said. Bee could see the shiny plastic glinting as the light caught it. Her eyes lit up.
"Tis your birthday present from me and Mikey-poo. You get a huge shopping spree cuz we're fuckin' awesome like that!"
"WEEEEEE!!!!!!" Bee said jumping on Laura and hugging her. "OMIGOSH! My phone!!!"
"ADD much?" Laura said as Bee picked her cell phone up off the table. A tiny red light was blinking, which meant she had new messages.
"I bet it's from my mom!!" Bee said excitedly. She had always had a close relationship with her mother, and it was hard living so far away. Bee pressed the button to put her phone on speaker.
"You have....one new message and...two saved messages." the automated answering machine said. "New message...Friday 9:22 am." It spoke once more before playing the new message.
Billie Joe's voice blared through the speaker. "Hey love. Just wanted to wish you a happy birthday. I'll be by to pick you up at around 4. Have fun on your shopping spree. I can't wait to give you MY present. Love you lots." BEEEEEPPP.
"AWWWW! That's so sweeet!!!" Laura said making kissy faces at Bee. Just then the doorbell rang, and in walked Adie.
"Happy birthday Brittney." she said. "Lovin the new hair color too."
"Thanks Adie. I like your shirt." Bee replied.
"Oh here. This is from the boys." Adie said handing Bee a messily wrapped package. Bee looked at Joey and Jake, who were both looking at her in anticipation.
"Aw thanks you guys." she said giving them both a hug. She kissed the top of their heads and led them over to their mother.
"Have a good birthday, and thanks for watching them." Adie said as she walked out the door. Bee smiled and told her it wasn't a problem. She went over once more to retrieve her phone. She dialed her mom's cell number, but got no answer. Weird... she thought. Her mom should have jumped to answer the phone. It was her only daughter's 18th birthday after all.
"I'm sure its nothing." Laura said seeing the concern in her friends face. "Now get your ass ready. You need a few new outfits to wear so you can look completely ravishing for Billie." Five minutes later Bee emerged at the stairs.
"WOOP! Let's go. " she said grabbing the keys to her car.
Most celebrities, and even just normal people, would buy Coach, Louis Vuitton, and Dolce & Gabana merchandise if they had the chance to go on a major shopping spree. But Bee chose to splurge at Hot Topic and Abercrombie and Fitch. At Hot Topic, Bee bought a pink Tinkerbell hoodie, a purple and black corset, a black lace corset, a red and white plaid skirt, a Green Day hoodie, a tote with a drum set on it, pink, green and blue plaid converse, and despite Laura's protest, a black t-shirt with the Bleeding Rose emblem on it. When they were finally ready to checkout, the girl and the guy behind the counter asked for both of their autographs, and upon leaving the store they ended up signing another 8 autographs, and had their picture taken by a paparazzi. All in all things were going well.
"Where to now birthday girl?" Laura asked. Bee checked her watch. It was 1:45. She still had plenty of time to shop and get her hair cut before she had to go home and get ready for when Billie would pick her up.
"Abercrombie of course." she said. Despite the fact that generally people who were in rock bands despised "preps", Bee couldn't help but like to shop at A&F. On today's spree she bought three new pairs of "destroyed" jeans, two new wife beaters, a jean jacket, two polos, two hoodies, and a black with silver jewels, halter-like tank top. Bee finally finished getting her hair cut at 3:15.

"Which outfit should I wear?" Bee asked staring at the clothes on the bed.
"I say the black and silver tank top, the ripped jeans and some flip flops."
"Ok sounds like a plan." Bee said. Just then Laura's phone rang.
"Uh huh. Ok I'll be there in a minute babe." she heard Laura say. "Hey Bee you think you can get ready on your own before Billie comes? That was Mike. I have to go pick him up and drive him somewhere. The limo driver never showed and his car is in the shop."
"Mmhmm. I'll be fine." Bee said surveying her hair in the mirror. It was now shoulder length, and in layers that flipped out. Billie was gonna have a heart attack when he saw her. "Thanks for the shopping spree."
"I'll cya later!" she said as Laura walked out the door. Shit. It was 3:45. She quickly changed into her new outfit and put on a pair of black and silver flip-flops. She fixed her eyeliner, and then went into the kitchen to grab a drink. Before she knew it there was a knock on the door.
"Oh my god! You look fuckin' beautiful." Billie said when Bee opened the door.
"Thank you!" she said throwing her arms around him and giving him a long, hard kiss.
"Shall we go then?" he said, leading her out the door. On the way to Billie's Bee told him all about her day, and her encounter with her very first paparazzi. That is, her very first without Billie Joe by her side. Billie pulled into the driveway and led Bee up to the door.
"Birthday girl 1st." he said opening the door. Bee walked into the house.
"SURPRISE!!!!!!!"
Bee was shocked to see so many people. Laura, Mike, Avi, and Dani were there and Tre was hard to miss, considering that he dove on her the second she got there. There were other people she didn't know, and even some that were famous.
"AWWW BILLIE JOE!!!!" she screeched, throwing her arms around him and giving him a hug. "You shouldn't have!"
"Don't thank me just yet. This isn't it....believe me."
"Huh? It's not?"
"Nope. Someone in the kitchen wants to see you." he said motioning toward the kitchen door. Bee walked toward the kitchen, Billie following close behind. She peered through the doorway.
"OH MY GOD!!!!!" she shouted. Standing there in the doorway was the best present Billie Joe could have ever given her.
"BRITTNEY!" Deneece, her mom, shouted. They ran up to each other and hugged. Then Bee grabbed her 5 year old brother and gave him a squeeze.
"Sissy. Uncle Billie said me and mommy and daddy are gonna..."
"HUNTER!" Deneece shouted. Bee didn't catch on, but just giggled. Pretty soon everyone was filing out of the house. But not before Bee was able to meet Gerard of My Chemical Romance, most of the Jimmy Eat World band members, and Anthony Kiedis, lead singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Bee said goodbye to Laura and Mike, and thanked Tre for the Reese's Peanut Butter Cup castle he made in the middle of the living room, and the old drum set of his that he gave her. Now she was left with Billie, her mom, her little brother, and her mom's boyfriend.
"Hey Bee come here." Billie shouted from the top of the stairs. He led her into his bedroom, where she had been so many times before. However instead of the full sized bed and black blankets, there was a king sized bed, with cushy dark blue and white covers in its place. On the nightstand on the left side of the bed, sat 4 pictures. In the back was a picture of Bee, Joey, Jake and Laura that was taken a few weeks ago at a park. Next to that was a picture of Hunter, her little brother, and in front of that was a picture of Bee, her mom, her little brother, and her mom's boyfriend on the beach. The last picture was her favorite. It was a picture of Bee and Billie kissing in front of Cinderella's castle, with fireworks going off behind them.
"Aww Billie you didn't have to..."
"Shhh....come here." he said grabbing her hand. He led her to the huge walk in closet and opened the door. All of her clothes and shoes were situated on the left side, which used to be empty.
"You'll see that many of your belongings are scattered through the house. That's cuz I figured you wouldn't mind moving in with me so your mom could take over your apartment."
"Oh my God Billie. This is the best birthday present I could ever have gotten." He held her close and kissed the top of her head. He really could be romantic when he wanted to.
"Now I want you to go downstairs and go with your family out to dinner. I have to meet my manager right quick and I should be home before you are. " He walked her back down the stairs, handed her a credit card, kissed her on the cheek, gave her mom a hug and walked out the door.
"So where do you want to eat birthday girl." Deneece said. Bee grinned and grabbed her mom's hand and led them out the door. They had dinner at Mike's resturaunt, and then Bee dropped them off at her old apartment, which was now their home. She was happy to see Billie's car in the driveway when she got home. She eagerly opened the door.
Peering inside, she could hardly believe her eyes. She gasped. "What the...?"
"Hermp." Bee grunted.
