Fame, Fortune, and Green Day, chapter 4
Two days later they all boarded the plane to Las Vegas. It was a later flight, so everyone had quickly dozed off. Everyone except for Billie Joe. He looked around at his fellow occupants. Danielle had her head propped up on a pillow leaning against Tre, Avi and Tiffany slept sitting up in their seats, and Mike had his arm around Laura. Bee was sitting next to Billie Joe, her head resting on his shoulder. He gently pushed a strand of stray hair behind her ear. It scared him how he felt toward her. He wanted to be near her to protect her, hell he just wanted to be near her period. He could barely handle the emotions stirring inside of him, and he no longer wanted to try to analyze them, so he lay his head on hers and drifted off into a dreamless sleep.

"WE'RE HERE!!!!!!!!!" Laura said flicking Billie Joe in the ear. "SIN CITY BABY YEA!!!"
"Owww. Was that really fuckin necessary?" he said, giving her a playful smack.
"Yes, Now shut the hell up and wake Bee will ya, while I go and get Dani and Tre?" she said as she walked away. He checked his watch. 3:30 am, they had arrived just on time. He gently shook Bee.
"Beeee. Wake up. We're here." She groaned and then reluctantly sat up.
"Hey," she said yawning.
"Have a nice sleep?" he asked.
"Mmmhmm. Very nice...thanks for the use of your shoulder," she said, giving him a quick peck on the cheek. She got up and went to get her carry-on out from the overhead compartment.
"Already got it. C'mon slowpokes." Laura said. She handed Bee and Billie Joe their carry-ons and grabbed Mike's hand. They walked down the narrow stairs out of the plane. A limo was waiting for them with their things already inside. Once again Billie Joe sat in the vacant seat next to Bee.
"So where are we staying you guys?" she asked eagerly. At first no one answered. Tre was already passed out and Mike was too busy passionately kissing Laura to even acknowledge anyone else's presence.
"You'll see." Billie Joe finally said. She was a little annoyed with his response, but she didn't want to badger him into telling her so she decided to wait. After what seemed like hours, rather then minutes the limo stopped. Bee peered out the heavily tinted window and read the name of the hotel out loud.
"The Venetian!" she shouted. Laura tore away from Mike's lips.
"Holy fuck! The Venetian...we're staying at the Venetian? You've got to be kidding me!" she screamed. She flung open the limo door and, dragging Mike behind her, bolted toward the entrance. Bee scrambled out the door soon after, Billie Joe and the rest of the gang behind her.

"Wow." Bee, and Laura said in unison. They had just walked through the door of their suite in Venezia Tower. Bee had never seen anything like it in her life. It was huge. The decor was subtle, yet extravagant, the epitome of elegant. She wondered what Avi, Danielle, and Tiffany were thinking when they had entered the suite to the left of hers and Laura's'. She knew the guys of Green Day were used to this kind of thing, and she supposed she would be too after a while. Her and Laura made their way to the private bedchamber. Through the large window Bee saw that their suite overlooked the entire strip. It was absolutely beautiful. Laura flopped down on one of the beds.
"Man, I could get used to this," she said as she fluffed her pillows. "Too bad I couldn't share a room with Mike."
"Slut!!!!" Bee said throwing a pillow at her friend.
"Oh come on now, we all know you and Billie Joe are dying to be in a room together...at least me and Mike are open about it." Laura said wiggling her eyebrows.
"Yea, uh huh, sure. Billie Joe has absolutely no interest in me at all La." Bee said, not trying to hide the disappointment in her voice.
"I've seen the way he looks at you. We all see it. You must be fuckin blind." Laura said. They had both climbed into their beds. "Besides," she continued. "I don't know why your not practically throwing yourself at him....what with the divorce and all." Bee shot up in her bed.
"Divorced? Who's divorced?" she said.
"Billie Joe. You can't tell me that night he held your hand you didn't notice his ring was gone." Laura looked at her friend who stared at her in shock. "Well whatever, I noticed and I asked Mike about it. He said Billie and Adie's marriage had been rocky for some time, and eventually it became too much. They got a divorce like, I dunno, almost a year ago," she said.
"You have got to be shitting me." Bee said, laying back down. Laura only laughed as she rolled onto her side and clapped off the lights.
"Could there be a chance?" Could he possibly like me at all?" she thought to herself.
