Fame, Fortune, and Green Day, chapter 8
"You can't tell me what to do, you can't tell me who to be... You can't make me live like you, why can't you set me fr-" CRASH! The girls turned around to see Tre sprawled out on the floor of the recording studio. Him, Billie, and Mike had tried to quietly enter through the back door to hear the girls recording what was to be their debut single, but Tre had mistakenly walked straight into Bee's drum set knocking over her floor tom and one of her cymbals.
"Treeeeee! That's like the millionth time that song got fucked up!" Laura whined.
"Yea! Well I can't help it if Bee's drums have a mind of their own. The're evil I tell you! EVIL!" He stood up and brushed off his jacket.
"Relax girls. Just take it from the top. Pretend that we aren't even here ok?" Mike said calmly.
"Yea. Well you know that's hard when TRE'S romping around trying to sabotage people's drum sets like he owns the place!" Bee said jokingly to Tre. He stuck his tongue out at her, and she flicked him off.
"Ok come on guys its the LAST song. We can do this." Laura said. For the past 5 months they had been enduring long hours in the studio to try and finish the album. The single was the last song they were recording and after they were finished, the single would come out and they could work on promoting their self-titled debut album. Of course that wasn't the only reason why Laura was in a hurry to finish the single, thus finishing the entire album. She was thinking about the fact that Mike had said that he would take her, and the rest of the gang, to Disney World as a late honeymoon. It had been almost 5 months exactly since she and Mike had gotten married at the Little White Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, and she couldn't have been happier. It of course had gotten out right away, all of the tabloids talked of the "mystery girl" who had stolen Mike Dirnts heart. It was surprising how much information they were able to get on her too. Since then the tabloids had also found out about Billie's and Bee's relationship after spotting them holding hands coming out of a Cold Stone's creamery in Florida. But all the press was not in vain. It actually
Helped promote Bleeding Rose, and gave them a sort of instant fame. That and the fact that they had opened for Green Day a few times.
"ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR!" Laura snapped back to reality as she heard Bee count off the beginning of the song. The music started and she began singing. This time however everything went smoothly.
"FINALLY!" Bee said throwing her drumsticks on the ground. "Is that finally it? Can we go to Disney now PLEASE?"
"You guys have a photoshoot and interview for Teen People on Monday." Danielle cut in. "After that you're free to go where ever you please... As long as you take me of course."
"YAY!" Laura screamed. She loved Disney. Actually she was OBSESSED with Disney. And the idea of a honeymoon with Mike at Disney was almost too much to fathom. She grabbed Bee and they jumped up and down, and Laura did her happy dance. One thing was clear, they were all happy to be finished recording.

"Ok. Nice work Brittney. Now Put the tip of your drumstick in your mouth. Yes. Perfect."
Bee was sitting on top of a bass drum. One leg hanging off the edge the other resting, knee bent on the drum itself. She was holding her sticks in her hands. Her elbow resting on her knee and the drumstick in her mouth just as she was told. Her other arm hung at her side. She felt like the idiot of the century. She honestly wondered where these people got their ideas about what a punk rock girl band should look like, and wear. On her feet were a pair of black pointe ballet slippers. She also had on a black choker, a black corset with white ties, a black studded belt, and a white skirt with uneven pointed edges. Her long blonde hair fell in messy waves, her bangs pushed to the side. I look like a ballerina on crack, and they really overdid the eyeliner. she thought to herself. But she just sat there and kept her mouth shut. Ahh the price you pay for trying to be famous. Thankfully, Bee was the last one to have their individual photo's taken. Group shots had been done earlier. When she was done she changed into her normal clothing thanked everyone on the Teen People staff, and walked out with her friends.
"I have never felt so stupid in my entire life." Bee said out loud. "It's no wonder you rarely ever see Green Day in a teen magazine. Jesus that was awful."
"I agree." Laura said nodding her head. "I didn't mind the corset at all, but the ballerina slippers were a bit much."
"Ya think?" Avi said rolling her eyes. "Just a little fucking ridiculous I'd say."
They walked to where the limo waited. Immediately Billie, Mike, Tre, and Danielle got out of the car. Billie walked up to Bee and gave her a long kiss, pausing for a moment to wipe away some of the overabundant eyeliner.
"Shit, I like eyeliner as much as the next guy, and even I think they may have put a bit much." he said.
"You think thats bad... Try wearing ballet slippers." Laura said. She walked up to Mike and he gave her a quick hug, then ordered her to close her eyes.
"Ok you can open them." he said. He was holding up their tickets to Disney World. Laura let out a little scream. Mike then handed her a vacation brochure.
"Honeymoon at the Boardwalk Inn!" Mike yelled. Laura squealed and jumped up and down. She had always wanted to stay at the Boardwalk Inn, and judging by the date on the tickets, she would be leaving in four weeks and get to stay in her dream hotel for two...
