Redundant, chapter 20
I ran to my backyard so I could jump over the fence. I was pretty risky for someone like me since I had bruises all over my body. But I made it safely to the other side. I headed for the front door. I rang the doorbell once. I heard some thumping noises coming closer to me as the door swung open. Those two middle aged adults who looked a lot like someone I knew were there.
"Who are you?" the female asked. I looked at her neck. It was surrounded by a gold chain with a broken heart dangling from it. The heart looked just like the one on the necklace I found in my room. I pulled that one out of my pocket and held it close to the lady's neck.
"It's a perfect match," I said "you must be-"
I didn't finish my sentence because I saw a photo on a wall. It was the person I thought these two adults look like. I started stroking my chin like I had a goatee when I realised that I didn't have one. I felt a smile grow on my face.
"I'll be right back." I said as I put the necklace back into my pocket and ran towards the back fence and jumped over it. I made it safely again and headed towards my front door. When I got inside, I headed towards my bedroom and smashed the door open.
"What's wrong with you?" Adrienne said as she got off my bed
"Come with me," I panted out "I've got... a surprise... for you."
I grabbed her by the arm and dragged her outside. She kept asking me where I was taking her but I didn't reply. I told her to jump over the fence with me. We did so. But this time, I tripped once I reached land and hurt my ass.
"I'm fine," I said as I got off the hard floor "Let's go."
We stepped into the front yard. Adrienne looked around with a weird look on her face.
"This place looks awfully familiar." She said to me as we walked to the front door.
We reached the front door. I rang the doorbell then leaned over, trying to catch my breath again. The door opened again and those two adults were there again. They didn't say anything when they saw Adrienne. Her mouth dropped open when she saw the adults.
"Mom?" she asked "Dad?"
"Adrienne," the man said, nearly yelling "it is you!"
All three of them jumped into a hug as I stood straight again. I watched the happy family hug in joy. I felt a cold tear run down my cheek as I watched the happily re-united family. Well, not fully. There are her siblings in the family. They broke away from the hug and looked at each other.
"I thought you guys died." Adrienne said to her parents.
"No, of course not!" they said to her. Adrienne turned to face me with a massive smile on her face.
"But how did you know that they were my parents?" she asked me sorta confused.
I gave her one of those looks that say 'oh, I just knew'. But then her smile disappears.
"Hang on," she began "if you knew that this was my house... " she didn't finish her sentence. She gave me a blank look. Her mouth was open. She raised her hand and pointed her index finger at me.
"... That means you're the one who perverted on me!"
