Angel Face, chapter 12
"OH MY GOD GET A FUCKING ROOM!!" Mike yelled, walking in on Billie Joe and Morgan.
"We had one, until you came in." Billie Joe said, standing up.
He had had Morgan on her back on the bed.
Morgan laughed.
"Now what's so funny?" Tre asked, popping his head in from the door.
"Oh, Mike, what have they been up too?" Tre asked, jumping up and down.
"Are you seven years old or something?" Billie Joe asked, as he made his way to the living room.
"Someone's in a bad mood." Tre said, imitating Billie Joe's pouty look.
"Yea, well wouldn't you be too if someone walked in on you?" Billie Joe said, sitting down on the couch.
Morgan sat up on her bed, and opened her bedside drawer, and got out a cigarette. She lit up, and walked into the living room.
"Since when do you smoke?" Mike asked.
"Since today." Morgan said, blowing smoke out of her mouth.
Billie Joe took the cigarette from her.
"Don't start, cos you can't stop." He said, dropping what was left in a coke bottle.
Morgan shrugged her shoulders, and sat on Billie Joe's lap.
Tre sighed, and got a small action figure out from his pocket, and began to attempt to tear it's head off.
"What's this?" Billie Joe asked, taking a small bag out of the drawer on the coffee table.
"You snoop, give me that!" Morgan said, and she reached for the bag. Billie Joe kept it out of her reach and opened it. The look on his face was of confusion, and regret.
"Let me see your arms." he said, dropping the bag to his side.
Morgan sighed. "Billie Joe--"
"Let me see your arms." he repeated.
Morgan rolled up her shirt sleeves, to reveal diagnal scars going up her forearm.
"Why?" Billie Joe asked, his voice filled with sadness, his green eyes confused.
"Stress...from my parents, from Kyle..just everything." She said, keeping her eyes on her shoes.
Billie Joe took a deep breath, and realized that Tre and Mike had left. He opened the bag, and dumped out it's contents. Razors and saftey pins littered the middle of the coffee table. Morgan reached out to put them back in the bag, but her hand was caught by Billie Joe.
"Let me do it." he said, scooping up the contents carefully, and putting them back in the bag.
"Billie...please don't tell Tre or Mike about this?" Morgan asked, pity filled Billie.
"Don't worry, I won't. Promise." He said, hugging her, and slipping the bag into his coat pocket.
He looked at her arm again, running one finger over a particuarly long scar.
"How long..?" He asked.
"How long what?"
"How long have you been doing this?" he asked again, holding her arm with both of his hands.
"About a year."
"A year?" Billie Joe said, his eyes widening.
"Yea.."
Billie Joe shook his head, and a tear dropped onto Morgan's arm.
"Billie Joe.." Morgan said, lifting his face up with her free hand to see silent tears running down his face.
"Don't cry...please." She said, her voice trembling.
"How can I not cry? How can I not cry when someone I love is hurt?" He said, tears still gliding down his cheeks.
Morgan began sobbing and hugged him, she pushed her face into his chest.
"I'm sorry...I'm so sorry." She said inbetween sobs.
"It's okay..just promise me you'll stop?" Billie Joe said, lifting her face up.
"I promise." She said, looking into his eyes.
"Hey you guys, look!" Tre said, holding a kitchen knife to his throat.
"Yea yea, very nice Tre, woo.." Mike said, clapping his hands sarcastically.
Tre made one of his famous pouty faces.
"FOOD!" Morgan yelled. She had made pasta, the only thing she knew of that she could cook that could feed 4 people.
Tre, Mike, and Billie Joe came into the kitchen.
They all got plates, and piled them with noodles and sauce. Morgan did the same, and she ate quickly.
"Gosh Morgan...where are you headed?" Billie Joe asked, as Morgan walked to the door and grabbed her coat.
"Mall, be back soon." she said, and she grabbed the car keys and left.
-At the mall-
"Just do it." Morgan told the tattoo guy, as he began to tattoo a small black heart on Morgan's side.
Morgan winced in pain, then when the job was finally done, she smiled and paid at the register, then drove back home.
-Home-
"Hey you guys, look at what I got!" Morgan said, as she took off her jacket to show off her new tattoo.
"Wow..cool." Tre said, then returned to the tv.
"Awesome!" Billie Joe said, as he got up. He ran his finger over the tattoo, and smiled.
"Yea..something I've been wanting to do for a while." She said.
"Looks great." Billie Joe said, then grabbed her hand and led her back to the couch.
Tre and Mike were watching tv.
"Mike, lookie!" Morgan said, and showed him her new tattoo.
"Cool." he said, and returned to the tv.
"Good God..no one is alive." Morgan said, and she sat down on the couch beside Tre.
Tre looked sideways.
He grabbed his ice water from in front of him. 'No one's looking..' he thought. He then dumped the contents of the glass on Mike's head.
"TRE YOU FUCKER!!" Mike yelled, as he slung water in all directions.
Morgan and Billie Joe were in hystarics, Morgan had fallen off the couch, and onto the floor, and Billie Joe held out his hand to help her up.
Tre was running from Mike, who was gaining.
"You'll never catch me!" Tre said, giggling.
Mike grabbed the back of Tre's shirt, and dragged him down. He then got his coke off of the coffee table, and poured it on Tre.
"Now we're even." Mike said, walking to the bathroom to get a towel, and leaving Tre a sticky mess.
"Yuck.." Tre said.
"Well, at least I taste good." he said as he walked to the bathroom to wash off.
Billie Joe and Morgan sniggered as they watched Tre drip from the living room to the Bathroom.
"We had one, until you came in." Billie Joe said, standing up.
He had had Morgan on her back on the bed.
