Angel Face, chapter 6
Tre and Morgan watched tv until 11:30, then ordered some lunch.
''Hey you guys." Mike said, walking in the door.
"Hey Mike, did you find my key?" Morgan asked.
"Yep, here you go" Mike said as he handed Morgan the key to her house.
"Thank you sooo much."
"Anytime, hey Tre."
"Hey" Tre said.
"Umm... Morgan, could I talk to you in the other room for a minute?"
"Sure."
Morgan and Mike walked out of the kitchen and into the living room.
"Listen," Mike began.
"You may not have believed me before, but Billie Joe really does like you. A lot."
"Wow... are you serious?"
"Sure am. I talked to him about it yesterday, and he flipped when he found out I told you, even though you thought I was joking.."
"Well this sure makes things easier..." Morgan said sarcastically, sitting down on the couch.
"Listen, I know it's your decision to make, but I personally think that you would be better off with Billie Joe. He's liked you for a long time, and Tre has only liked you for a couple of months."
"Well... I really really really like Tre, but I really really really REALLY like Billie Joe.... Do you think Tre would be ok if I went out with Billie Joe?"
"It would hurt, but I think he would be okay in time."
"Yeah, figured that... but I don't know.."
Before Morgan could finish her sentence, Billie Joe came in through the back door, smiling.
"Hey Morgan." He said.
"Hey Billie Joe... what are you so happy about?"
"Nothing.." Billie Joe said, pondering what he had just overheard from outside of the back door.
'Wow, she likes me too, she's even considering breaking up with Tre... wait... Tre. What will he do? Aww man...' Billie Joe thought, as he walked into the kitchen, only to find Tre looking for the last candy bar.
Tre looked up, and jokingly said"Back off bitch, the candy bar is mine!"
Billie forced a laugh, and sat down at the table.
Morgan walked in, followed by Mike.
"Tre, could I talk to you for a minute? Alone?"
"Sure."
They walked into the other room, only to hear Tre scream "WHY?! I love you Morgan!"
"I'm sorry Tre, but there is someone else.." Morgan said, feeling so guilty.
"Who?"
They heard Morgan mumble something.
"I'm going out." Tre said, not even looking at Billie Joe, and walked out of the door.
"Morgan... you ok?" Billie Joe asked, walking over to Morgan.
"I'll be fine..." Morgan said, "I was just worried how Tre was going to take this, I wasn't expecting him to not say anything, but I didn't expect this reaction."
"Yeah, he really liked you." Billie Joe said. "But if you don't mind me asking, who is the other guy?"
"Err... I'm gonna go... check... the... errr... thing." Mike said, as he walked out of the room.
"So?" Billie asked.
''Billie Joe, it's you. You're the other guy."
"Really? Wow... I thought... ha... I thought you didn't like me."
"Well, Mike tried to tell me earlier, but I didn't believe him."
"So, what did Tre say when you told him this?"
"He didn't say anything, he just looked at me, he almost looked like he was in shock. Then he mumbled 'Fuck you bitch....' and walked out."
