Amnesia, chapter 3
Everybody jerked forward. Tre's head hit the back of Mikes seat, Billie Joe body slammed the door, and Mike hit the steering wheel. There was silence until there was the sound of distant sirents. Nobody knew if each other was ok, but everybody was shocked. Mike looked over at the car that he had collided with through the blood that was covering his eyes. It was turned over on its side, so the top was facing him.
"Sh*t." Mike murmured.
"What, oh d*mn!" Billie Joe said.
Tre was still semiconscience. He turned his head to see and all he could do was think words. He clacked out and would not wake up for a while.
As the ambulence came, they had a few people try to turn the car over. After they succeded, they helped the two people out. The driver was ok, so he didn't need to go on the stretcher, but the passanger was hurt. The two people left in the ambulence. Next the parametics came over to the car that Green Day was in. First Mike and Billie Joe were taken to the hospital. Then Tre was put on a stretcher and sent to the ER. he had a huge gash in his head from hitting a piece of metal in the back of Mike's seat.
In the lobby, Mike, Billie Joe, and the driver of the other car were waiting.
"Look man, I'm sorry. It was my fault." said Mike breaking the silence.
"No, it was mine." Said the driver.
"My name is Mike Dirnt."
"Hi, mine is Toni."
"And I'm Billie Joe."
"Wait, are you from Green Day?"
"Yeah, Tre has amnesia so we had to take him home to rest." Mike said
"Yeah, and we want to find out what happened to him last night." Billie Joe chimed in
"Well, only Bille Joe wants to know. I'm more concerned about if he will be alright." Mike said
"I'm terribly sorry, I thought my light was still green, it must have changed." Toni mentioned.
"No, come to think of it, all of the lights were green. There must have been a problem with the system." Mike recalled.
When the doctor came out, Mike realized who it was right away.
"I have good news, Mr. Cool and Ashley will be alright. Mr. Cool had to get a few stitches and Ashley has sprained her arm, but other than that it will be alright." Said the doctor.
"Dr. Michele, I'm sorry, I was driving, the lights were messed up." Mike tryed to explain.
"It's ok, you may see your friends now." Dr. M. said. "But Mike, may I talk to you for a minute?"
"Sure. I'll be right there Bille Joe."
"Alright."
"How many times will I be seeing you?" Dr. M. asked.
"Depends on how many times you want." The both laughed.
"I never noticed how funny you were."
"Never noticed how hot yhou were. Wait, scratch that, i did." They both laughed again. Then there was a pause.
"So...." Mike started "Today is saturday right?"
"Right."
"And you are off tonight?"
"Yes."
"So am I....so..."
"Are you asking me out on a date tonight?"
"Are you saying yes?"
"Sure." Dr. M. lauged "You can call me Michele."
"Alright Michele, you can call me Mike."
"I already do."
"Well, I'm going to go check on Tre."
"Alright, he still has amnesia."
"D*mn. I bet i'll have to teach him how to play the drums."
"Maybe."
"So...I'll pick you up at 8?
"Sure, here's my address." She wrote something on a piece of paper she had. It was messy, but he could still make it out.
So Mike went into Tre's room. Aparantly it was right next to Ashley's. Billie Joe was talking to Toni about something. She was laughing, so Mike decided to let them be. He walked over to Tre. He was awake, but he didn't want to talk, so Mike fell asleep in a chair that Billie Joe had fell asleep in when Michele was telling them about Tre's condition.
When it was ok for Tre to leave, Billie Joe said his goodbye to Toni and gave her a piece of paper. It must have had his number on it. As they were leaving, Miek saw Michele and winked at her. Bille Joe must have seen it because as he climbed into the drivers seat, he looked at Mike through the rear-view mirror and said "So what's with you and the doctor?"
