Paper Lanterns, chapter 2
(Still the girls point of view)
"So, uh. I should ask; Whats your name?" He asks.
"Oh. My name is Sadie. What about you?" I reply.
"My name is Billie, Billie Joe"
"Oh you mean like William Joseph?" I ask
"No.. My real name is actually Billie Joe" He reply's a little coldly
"Well. I like that name. Do you mind if I just call you Billie for short?" I ask
"Yeah, sure. Everybody does. I don't really care"
"Uh.." He starts "Where do you live again?"
"Oh, Um.. Like.. 12th Bay Avenue." I reply
"Oh good. You live just the street down from me. Thats great!" He exclaimes.
I just gave him a questionning look. He looks the other way and blushes so I cant notice, but I shrug it off anyway. I don't really care. I just met him.. Well yeah.. he may be attractive and cute. But I have to get to know him more.. right?
As we were walking down 12th Bay Ave. I noticed my house.
"Well. Here goes nothing" I mumbled to myself.
"What?" He asks.
I started pacing the drive way.. Going up and down constantly. I didnt know whether to go in or not.
"I'm going to go in" I said after minutes of pacing up and down the drive way.
I was about to go in But something inside me said that I should bring Billie Joe with me.
"Billie. Will you come in with me please?" I asked
"Sure... But why Sadie?" He asks.
"Because. If I have somebody with me then he won't do anything to me. He'll just leave me alone. So.. I just need you to come with me... Please.." I said nervously.
"Okay... Come on. Lets go in then" He says.
I open the door. And my dad is sitting on the couch watching the tube..
All of a sudden he gets up and heads straight for me... Uh Oh...
