Wake Me Up When September Ends...., chapter 5
"Lena come oooonnnn!!!" Billie Joe wined as he sat at the edge of his hotel bed. He was waiting for Lena to finish getting ready so they could go and meet Jo and Danny at the restaurant.
"I'm coming!" Lena shouted back and Billie Joe smirked. He was falling for her. He would be stupid not too! Lena was beautiful, Funny, Smart and Kind!
"That's what you said 20 minutes ago!" Billie called and he heard Lena laugh in the bathroom.
"Someone's excited to either go or see how beautiful I look? Hmm... Which one is it Billie?" Lena joked and it made Billie Joe blush.
"Nah I just want you to see how hot I look" He said after a few minutes of silence.
He could hear Lena laugh and this made him smile.
"Yeah right... Is that why it took you so long to reply?" She said and Billie Joe smiled again.
God damn this women... He thought with a smile.
A few minutes later Lena came out of the bathroom and ready to go and she smiled when Billie Joe looked up at her gob smacked. She looked beautiful. She was wearing a black and red dress (Like the one in the Helena video!) and her brown hair was curled and it hung gracefully on her petit shoulders.
"You copied the colour of my outfit!" Billie Joe joked and looked down at his black suit and red tie. "I did not! We just happen to be wearing the same colour outfit... No biggy! Unless your too vain to be seen with someone wearing the same colour outfit as you!?" Lena said with a cheeky smirk on her face.
Billie Joe looked shocked and put his hand to his mouth while still smiling.
"I am not vain!!" He said and Lena started to laugh. "Sure your not and I'm the tooth fairy" Lena said to him before grabbing her handbag and heading towards the door.
Billie Joe chuckled lightly before running after Lena.
When they arrived at the restaurant it was just after nine o'clock and it was pretty busy.
Billie Joe got a few stares and he was getting worried because he didn't have any of his bodyguards or protection with him. He looked over at Lena and she seemed nervous.
Placing his hand on the small of her back he pulled her close and whispered to her "Don't worry" She smiled and nodded at him.
The waiter led them over to a booth in a corner and left them to get the drinks and menu's.
Jo and Danny hadn't arrived yet so Lena and Billie Joe both laughed and joked.
Soon after Jo and Danny arrived. Danny was wearing a simple navy suit with a white tie and Jo was wearing a gorgeous green dress that complimented her curves.
"Hi hunny" Jo cooed as she hugged Lena lightly. Lena smiled and hugged back and then hugged Danny gently.
"Well you two look nice... Same colour I see" Jo said while smirking at Billie Joe and Lena.
Billie Joe smiled and looked at Lena and then he turned back to face Jo and Danny.
"She copied me" He whispered and Lena slapped him lightly on the arm. "I did not!!" Lena said and the group laughed.
They continued talking and joking along with some topics that were serious.
Jo and Danny also announced that they weren't just getting married but Jo was also pregnant.
As the waiter brought them their last round of drinks, Lena decided to go to the toilet and Danny was also gone.
"So. How are things between you and Lena?" Jo asked with a cheeky smile on her face.
Billie Joe looked confused before answering. "How do you mean things between me and Lena... Were friends that's all" He said and Jo laughed.
"Its obvious you like her Billie! The way you look at her, The way you talk to her, Its obvious!" This comment made Billie Joe blush. "I don't... " He was saying but Lena came back to the table.
"Why are you blushing Billie?" She asked and Billie Joe smiled at her. "No reason"
"Sing to me Billie... " Lena whispered to him as they walked home that night on the cold Mississippi streets. Lena wanted to get a taxi but Billie Joe had suggested walking.
"Sing what?" He asked and pulled Lena closer to him. "Umm..Let me think of a song." She said and went silent for a moment.
While Billie Joe was waiting for her to think of a song he stared up at the bright stars that were twinkling above them. He could never really see the stars properly at home in California because of all the street lights shining but now he could see them perfectly.
"Don't Leave Me" Lena said bringing him out of his thoughts. "What?" Billie Joe asked looking at her and she smiled sweetly. "Sing Don't Leave Me".

She loved this song and with Billie Joe singing it, It was even more special to her.
That night Lena and Billie Joe stayed up talking for a bit before deciding to go to bed.
Lena got the bathroom first so she changed into her pyjamas and brushed her teeth.
When she had finished she hopped into bed and soon after Billie Joe joined her.
"Night Billie"
"Night Lena" And the room went silent.
