You erased yourself, so shut up!, chapter 5
Faith went quiet on the other end of the phone. She always did this; it drove Tre insane.
"Oi, come on, you can't tell me you have news then not tell me what it is! Tell me!"
She was giggling again.
"Ok, jeez, calm. Right, well, you know how my dad works for that big company?"
"Yeah."
"Well, they've decided they're moving him to a different branch."
"Oh yeah, where?"
"Laytonville!"
Tre fell off the sofa in his excitement.
"Oh my god, you're moving here! Seriously?"
"Yup, seriously, we already have a house, it's about a mile away from you."
"Yes! Oh my god, that is so freakin' cool!"
"I know! We'll be together again! You'll have to take me to school and everything!"
"Sweet!"
"I know." there was a voice in the background. "I have to go Tre, I'm sorry sweetie, but I'll speak to you real soon."
"Yeah, ok, I love you Faith."
"Love you too Tre, bye."
"So your friend was moving to Laytonville?"
"Yup, she came to stay, it was so cool. But stop interrupting me!"
"Sorry."
"Dad?"
"Yup Tre?"
"What you up to?"
"Nothing, why? What do you want?"
"Nothing."
"Where do you want me to take you Frankie?"
Tre scowled, he never could keep anything from his dad.
"Will you take me into Laytonville, to the drugstore?"
"Ah, more hair dye. What colour this time?"
"Green."
"Oh something big to celebrate then?"
Tre gave him the 'don't-act-so-dumb-you-know-exactly-what-I'm-talking-about' look, and Frank snr. beamed.
"You know exactly what it is."
"Did Faith tell you when they arrive?"
"No, when is it?"
"Tomorrow."
"Seriously? Oh my god, dad, please, you have to take me to the drugstore now, I have to have green hair before Faith gets here!"
"Ok, ok, calm down. Go wait int he car, I'll be out in a minute."
Tre ran yelling throught he door as his sister came in.
"What's he so happy about?"
"Oh, he just found a little Faith."
