You erased yourself, so shut up!, chapter 9
The trio climbed back into the limo an hour and a half later, Tre with a hand on his forehead.
"Lil' bitch, that dude just smacked me! What the hell is their problem?"
"Dude, we just told them we're going on a break for two years, they ain't really gonna be very happy."
"There was no need to smack me though!"
Billie rolled his eyes at Mike, who grinned, and settled back into his seat. Tre pulled some ice out of the mini-fridge and clamped it to his forehead, and Billie pulled his cellphone from his pocket.
"So guys, where to now?"
"Em... Wanna come back to mine?" Tre asked, peering around his hand at teh singer and bassist.
"Yeah, sounds cool, you sure?"
"Yeah, have nothing else to do."
"Cool. So, you gonna finish your story?"
"Yeah, why not?"
Tre woke up on the Saturday with a huge grin on his face; not only did he have a date, but he was going to a rehearsal with one of his favourite bands. He ran to the bathroom and slammed the door in his sister Lori's face.
"Frank! I need in there, I'm going out, get your ass out here now!"
"No! I need to have a shower, I need to be ready, so shove off!"
Frank snr. Walked past as he shouted this, and threw Lori a glance.
"Frank, what's the problem? 2
"Oh, morning dad. Lori's shouting at me to get out when I need a shower, 'cos I'm going out later. Tell her just to wait, I always have to wait for her!"
His dad turned to Lori and shrugged, then walked off.
"Frank, I hate you, I'm gonna kill you when you come out!"
"Whatever."
She stormed off.
"Dad, can we go yet? I told Faith we'd pick her up at one!"
"Frank, if you tell me that again, we're not going anywhere."
Tre slumped down on teh sofa and crossed his arms, pouting at his dad, who started laughing, and ruffled his hair.
"Well, if we must... Go wait in the car."
"Hey Faith... Wow, you look great!"
She beamed, and gave Tre a hug. She was wearing a little tartan skirt with a vest and string top, her hait piled untidily on her head, but in a nice way.
"You look fab too hunnie; I love that shirt."
Tre smiled; it was his favourite. He opened the front passenger door for her, and she slipped into the seat.
"Ok, are we all set?" Frank asked as Tre got into the back.
"Yup. Thanks dad."
"For what?"
"For giving us a lift."
"Any time son."
They set off, Tre singing along to the stereo he was so happy, for the first time in ages.
Things were to go wrong when they got into Berkeley though...
