We're Just Melodramatic Fools (Billie Joe Armstrong), chapter 3
"I can help you, Skye." Billie Joe whispered. I shook my head. How could he help me? He didn't even know me.
"I don't need anyones help." I muttered stubbornly. Haha, that's the big fat lie.
Billie leaned over and pressed his lips firmly on mine. After I pulled away, he smiled and whispered, "I will help you. Whether you like it or not" Then he walked away. I glared angrily at him. How could he do that? He didn't know me. Why'd he kiss me? Oh, come on, Skye. You know you liked it.
"No I didn't." I muttered to myself.
Stop lying to yourself. You liked it!
I walked home, arguing with myself the whole time. I went inside, only to see my mother standing there with her arms crossed and an angry look on her face.
"Skylar, would you like to tell me WHY your school called, telling me you were absent? Because I could've sworn I sent you to school this morning!"
"You know, you really should see a theripist. I think you're seeing things." I said, starting to go to my room. Mom grabbed my shoulder and made me face her.
"You were with that Armstrong boy, weren't you? You skipped school to go out with him."
"Nope." I pushed her hand off of me and ran downstairs, knowing that she would follow me anyways.
"Then where were you?" She asked.
"I was in the school bathroom, throwing up everything I ate this week." I lied. Mom's eyes widened, but she didn't say anything. She just ran upstairs, screaming for my dad. Moron.
The phone was ringing.
"Hello?"
"Skye?"
"Yeah. Who's this?" I asked.
"Billie Joe." Oh, God. He was one of the last people I wanted to talk to.
"Oh."
"I just wanted to make sure you didn't get in too much trouble..."
"I just told my mother that I was in the school bathroom throwing up everything I ate this week. She got scared and ran upstairs, because she's worried that I'm becoming bulimic again." I could've killed myself for saying that. That was one of the many things I didn't want anyone to know.
"You were bulimic?"
"Were... Already am. Same difference." I sighed. Then I hung up, leaving Billie Joe to wonder if I was crazy or not.
