Jealous Jamiee and the Unattainable Billie Joe, chapter 4
The next day at school, Billie got there first out of him, Jamiee and Lizz, and he hung out with a couple of other people until Lizz got there. " How yeah doin?" Lizz asked him, her voice full of concern. He shrugged and smiled at her, "What?" she asked, after he stared at her for a few minutes.
"Nothing, nothing... " Billie muttered, turning away and grinning. Just then, Jamiee arrived and she looked really pissed. Neither got to ask her what was wrong before the bell rang, so Lizz asked her at recess.
"What's wrong, Jam?" She asked,
"My stupid motherfucking mother that's what's wrong!" she screamed,
"What did your mom do?" Billie asked her,
"She's making us move!"
"What? Why? Where?" Lizz panicked,
"The other side of town. So I'll be going to West Berkely for the rest of the year. I have no FUCKING Idea why."
"When are you guys moving?" Billie asked sadly,
"End of the month." The recess bell rang and they went inside without another word. The remainder of the month passed by quickly, and Billie and Lizz tried to spend as much time as possible with Jamiee. Billie offered to help her pack and unpack. So did Lizz.
When moving day came, Jamiee thanked each of them again for helping her out with her stuff, hugging them both, taking a little more time on Billie Joe, which neither seemed to notice. Billie and Lizz watched Jamiee's car pull out of site, waving sadly. Lizz leaned on Billie, a tear streaming down her face.
"Hey, its ok." Billie comforted her, putting his arm around her, " At least she's still in town. You'll still get to see her." Lizz looked up at him, smiling,
"Yeah, I guess I'm overreacting a bit."
December 24th, Jamiee's birthday, approached, and both Lizz and Billie were invited to her rather large party. The party was at her house, which had a Jacuzzi outside, and an extremely large living room. There was very loud music and about 50 people there. Jamiee's parents were out of town, and to make up for them not being there on her birthday, they said that she could throw a party. When Lizz arrived, she tossed her present to Jamiee, gave her a big hug and went to join in with the dancing. Billie arrived, and tossed Jamiee his present, giving her a hug and asked if she wanted to dance. He figured that since she had a big crush on him, he would give her a little extra birthday present. Jamiee nodded hungrily, and led him into the crowd. They danced for about 5 minutes, Jamiee enjoying every second of it; she still had a huge crush on Billie. Lizz caught up with them, and they all danced together for a minute or two, before heading into the Jacuzzi.
It was freezing outside, being December and all, but the Jacuzzi was super hot. Billie noticed how hot Lizz looked in her bikini, and also noticed that Jamiee had lost a lot of weight. Actually, she almost looked sick, she was so skinny. There were 3 free spots in the Jacuzzi, and Billie sat in the middle, putting his arms around both girls and pulling them in for a hug. Lizz and Jamiee both laughed and Billie grinned devilishly. By 10:30, a lot of the people had left, and Jamiee decided to open her presents. Billie had gotten her a pretty silver bracelet, which had rendered her speechless, and she let him put it on her wrist. Lizz got her a new pair of hot pink and black (her favourite colours) Converse All Stars, which, when she opened, she nearly had a heart attack (she loves converse) and screamed and hugged and thanked Lizz about a thousand times. She also got a new Ramones cd from Ty, and a new walkman from Sarah. She hugged everyone and thanked them for coming, and Lizz and Billie hung around for a bit. At about midnight, Billie's mom picked Billie and Lizz up, and they both hugged Jamiee again and wished her a happy birthday and a merry Christmas.
Nothing really exciting happened until Valentines Day. Billie still hadn't told Lizz that he liked her- he was way too nervous! - And no one had found out. Anyways, on Valentines Day, Billie had to get something out of his bag, and opened his backpack to find a pink envelope, and a box of chocolates. The envelope said his name on it, and he smiled and brought into class with him with his pencil case, which was what he went to get in the first place. He opened it on his lap, so Mr. Lyons wouldn't see, and read it:
Billie Joe, I've loved you ever since I laid eyes on you. Will you be my valentine?

Lizz looked over and saw Jamiee's words, and giggled softly. Billie smiled, placing the card back in the envelope and slipping it into his desk. 'I knew it! ' Both Billie and Lizz thought at the same time.
