Jealous Jamiee and the Unattainable Billie Joe, chapter 6

"Jamiee!" Billie looked into Jamiee's eyes and saw not sadness, which is what he expected (as it must have looked like more than just a comforting hug, especially if she didn't know what happened), but anger and frustration. He pulled away from Lizz, which made her cry even harder (he still didn't know what she was crying about). He grimaced at the fact that he had just made Lizz feel worse, and ran over to Jamiee, clutching onto her arms.
"Fuck you, Billie Joe! I never want to see you again!" Jamiee cried, pulling away from him.
"But Jam, you don't even know what happened! Let me explain... " Billie attempted, but was cut off by Jamiee,
"For fuck's sake, Billie, I don't want some lame excuse as to why you were cheating on me with one of my best friends!" and with that she turned around to leave, but turned around again. "Hope you have a nice life, asshole!" She finished her rant, throwing a dirty glance at Lizz, and stormed out of the house, slamming the door in the process. Billie groaned and slid down the wall, coming to a stop with his knees tucked up to his chest, his arms wrapped around his legs and his head against the wall. He breathed deeply. He heard Lizz bawling in the living room, and looked around the corner to see her in the same position as him, shaking violently as her chest lurched with each sob. As she brought her head down to rest it on her knees, he saw such pain in her eyes that it hurt to look at her. Billie just sat there, thinking about what had just happened, when he realized why Jamiee had just broken up with him. He crawled back over to Lizz and put his arms around her trembling body. He hugged her close, burying his face in her hair.
"I'm—so—*sob* s-sorry!" she cried out before bursting into tears once again.
"Shhh... Don't be. It's not you're fault." Billie tried to reassure Lizz, but it didn't work.
"YES IT IS! She thinks you CHEATED on her! With ME!" She cried out between sobs.
"Hey! It's not you're fault! It's nobody's." He attempted to reassure her again calmly. Lizz was too upset to argue, so she just cried her heart out onto Billie's shoulder, clutching to him for dear life. A few minutes later, when Billie was sure Lizz was calmed down a bit, he asked her, " So why were you crying anyway? What happened?" Lizz looked up into his eyes, her lip trembling, eyes glazed over. Then, looking down at her shoes, she replied quietly,
"My dad just died." Billie stared at her in horror and shock. He hugged her closer than ever, kissing the top of her head, as a tear ran down his own cheek.
"Oh my god." Was all he could say before bursting into tears.
