Forever Green, chapter 2
Billie was making his way over to where Steph was sitting on the pier. We treaded carefully, making sure not to scare her by accidentally making a noise. He sat down next to her. Steph didn’t notice he has even there; she just kept looking across the water with tears gathering in her eyes. ‘You know it gonna be alright’, he said. Steph continued to look out into the open. ‘I guess’, she stuttered. ‘No it will be trust me’, he said moving a little closer. ‘How can I trust anyone any more? Everyone’s leaving around me’, she managed to get out.
Tre and Mike still continued watching them from the car. ‘Maybe one of us should go?’, Tre suggested. ‘No, leave them. They have to talk eventually about it’, Mike answered. Billie was starting to become a little nervous. Normally Steph was just the sort of girl who would tell you how shes feeling no matter what place, no matter what time. She was always happy to be who she was, but now she was closing herself off and her shell was getting harder to get through. Billie got up. He took a few steps back. ‘Don’t leave as well’, Steph whispered under her breath. Billie didn’t hear this fully, but it made him stop. Steph got up and walked over to him. He wasn’t able to do or say anything, before Steph had her arms tightly around him. He held her closer as she started to cry into him.
‘Why did he have to leave. Why now?’, she asked crying still. ‘Steph its gonna be alright’, Billie reassured her. ‘No its not. They keep leaving, everyone gone, I don’t have anyone anymore. I cant trust anyone anymore’, she finished still continuing to cry into him. Billie fixed himself the best he could and moved come of her fringe away from her face, so that he could see her eyes a little better. They had become red and they were still full of tears. Her mascara looked as if it was bleeding from her eyes. Steph though didn’t look at him. ‘Steph its going to be alright. No one else is going to leave. You can trust us, you still have people. You still have me’, he whispered to her. Steph froze. What was he talking about when he said, ‘You still have me?’. She looked up to he’s eyes and started to talk again. ‘But why still why did they have to leave? Its not right, he shouldn’t be gone’. The stood together for a minute longer. Steph still crying into Billie and Billie still holding onto her. ‘Come on, we’ll take you home’, he said slowly making her walk with him back to the car. ‘Look there coming, don’t say a word’, Mike told Tre. Tre sat in silence looking at the two of them walking together. They hoped into the car and Mike turned on the engine to go home. When they got to the house, they walked inside and settle on the couch, Steph went straight to her room. ‘Do you want me to go check on her?’, Tre asked. “Nah its alright I will’, said Billie following her to her bedroom. Tre slumped down onto the couch and started to watch Tv. ‘Mate you alright?’, Mike asked. ‘Yeah, I’m fine’, snapped Tre. Miked rolled he’s eyes and walked off.
Billie Joe stood at Steph’s bedroom door watching the messed up teen, laying on her bed. ‘You can come in you know’. She told him. ‘Nah its alright, don’t wanna get into your personal space’, he said jokingly. ‘No seriously come on in. I’ll feel better’, she said with a reassuring tone. He walked in and sat on the end of her bed. Steph slowly sat up and moved over to him. ‘You look worried’, she told him. ‘Nah just a little nervous’, he replied. ‘Really how come?’, she asked curiously as she moved a-little closer towards him. ‘Well there’s this girl’, he said. ‘Oh’, Steph replied moving a little back ‘So, you like her or something?’, Steph asked not knowing whether or not to step into the subject. ‘Yeah, well I don’t know. I guess I’ve always sorta liked her, but now I’ve actually realized it’, he said, the whole time keeping his eyes on the bed. ‘Are you gonna do something about it?’, Steph asked. ‘I don’t know, might leave it for a while, and then I don’t know, its confusing me’, Billie said. *Thoughts started to run though Steph’s head over and over again. Why would be acting like he was before. Nah I’ll leave it, its not my business to go into*. ‘I’m going to the kitchen you want something?’, Billie asked. ‘No, just that you come back afterwards’, Steph replied looking outside at her window. –Little did they know, that Tre had been watching them the whole time and left for the kitchen as Billie was getting up to leave-.
Billie walked into the kitchen, and went straight for the fridge, where Tre had his head stuck in. ‘So, you two are getting close’……

Billie walked into the kitchen, and went straight for the fridge, where Tre had his head stuck in. ‘So, you two are getting close’……
