A Day In Paradise, chapter 8
*Tré's POV*
The doctor came out and said, "Mr. Wright. I'm Dr. Gibson, Ciarra's doctor."
"Hi, is she going to be alright? Please tell me she is going to be alright. Please."
"Well, she is very sick. We had never experienced anything like this. So we are not sure if she is going to make it through or not. I'm sorry." Then he walked off.
I watched him walk off and I then fell to my knees and buried my face in my hands and started crying.
Then I started saying to myself, "Tré, pull yourself together. She is going to be ok. She is not going to die. Not while you're still alive. God damn it Tré! Pull your god damn self together."
I just couldn't take it anymore. I got up and ran to Ciarra's room. I sat next to her bed and moved her hair away from her face. I then said in a low voice, "Ciarra, baby, please don't give up on me now. I need you. I am a total wreck right now. Please, don't give up." And at that very moment, her eyes opened and she said weakly, "What? Wh-Where am I?"
"Shhhh. You're in a hospital. You got really sick. Just rest. You'll be fine." She looked at me and smiled weakly and said, "Tre, you're the greatest. You wouldn't leave my side would you?"
"No, I wouldn't. You mean everything to me. I couldn't let you die."
"Could you check my temperature? I really can't tell." then I put my hand up to her forehead and smiled.
"You feel normal." I said.
Then Dr.Gibson came in and said, "Well, we got the results and she'll be able to leave by 4:30 today."
"Oh, thank God. Thanks doc."
"No problem Mr. Wright."
"Oh doc, not to be rude or anything, but please, don't ever call me 'Mr. Wright' again. It's Tré."
"Ok. Sorry about that... Tré."
"Don't worry about it."
About 2 hours before Ciarra could be able to leave, the doctor came in with news, I really wish I didn't have to hear.
