My Life With Green Day, chapter 16
We got to the hotel and I didn't get out of the car. Billie took one look at me and knew something was wrong.
"Courtney? Is there something wrong," Billie asked me as he held my hand. I shook my head no. "Courtney it's fucking something! Just tell me," He coaxed quietly.
"Billie," I said quietly. He looked back at me. "At the club Jared kissed me," I blurted out. Billie eyes widened as he sat back in his seat. "Billie I'm sorry! I honestly didn't want it," I said as tears threatened to fall. He ripped his hand away from mine. 'Oh fucking god he is going to blow the hell up,' I thought as the tears fogged my vision.
"First Tre. Then Jared. Courtney, I can't trust you anymore," Billie said angrily. I started to say something but Billie wasn't done. "Get out Courtney," he said as he reached into his back pocket and pulled out a room key. He threw it at me and I picked the little card up.
"Billie I said I didn't want it! Billie please don't do this," I pleaded. He leaned across my lap and opened the car door.
"Get out Courtney." I took one last look at him. He wasn't kidding. I hopped out the car and started up the hotel steps. Billie started up the car and drove off. I wiped falling tears off my face. No use. By the time I got to the room I had a tear soaked shirt. I stopped trying to fight it. I let the tears fall as I flung myself onto the bed. I was punching the pillow when the door opened. A figure slunk near me, slowly at first then coming quickly. I started to scream but lips were pressed up against mine. I tried to see who it was through the darkness but it was pitch black. I heard a quiet zipping sound. My skirt came down and my shirt went up. 'Who the fuck,' I started but then stopped. I felt the way this person was kissing. Mindless, sloppy, and nothing but tongue.
"Tre! Stop," I cried. No answer but I continued to kick and struggle. I finally managed to knock him off me. I ran out the room. I pulled out a piece of paper and followed it to room 389. "Jared! Open up," I called as I beat furiously on the door. I heard footsteps and then the door flew open. I ducked in and slammed the door shut. I leaned up against it and breathed a sigh of relief. He had a surprised look on his face. I closed my eyes and just kept breathing slowly. After about 5 minutes, Jared spoke.
"Are you okay," He asked me as he studied my face. I nodded and moved from the door. I sat down in a green chair by the bed. "Do you want to tell me what happened?" Jared kneeled down so we were face to face. I looked at him and studied his expression. He was actually looking into my eyes. Not elsewhere.
"Jared, I don't even know what happened," I said as more tears threatened to roll down my cheeks.
"Well where is your friend you were with? You know the one with the black hair?" That did it. The threatening tears fell down my face. Jared's hand wiped away a few tears. I smiled, knowing it did no good. Tears kept falling and Jared pulled me into a tight hug. I continued to sob on his shoulder. Soon his whole shoulder was soaked with tears. "Okay if you don't mind," Jared said as he pulled me off of him, "I'm going to change into a shirt that isn't wet!" He stood up and walked to a black suitcase. He pulled out a blue shirt and pulled off his green one. My eyes popped open. 'Damn,' I thought as I stared at his body, I bit my lip as I tried to look away, but some how my eyes kept wandering back to him. He pulled his shirt on and came and sat back next to me. I put my legs across his lap. Jared started to tickle my feet. I giggled and kicked my legs around. Jared started kissing my legs. I smiled. He was so cute. 'Wait I don't really think that do i?' I was mentally kicking myself in the head. 'This is how Tre started and then what just happened... ' I moved my legs away and sat up straight. "So where is your friend?"
"Jared... I don't know. He drove off when we got here and I don't know where he went," I said as I looked deep into his beautiful green eyes. Before I could do anything he lunged at me and kissed me. Wet, passionate kisses. I held him tighter before I let go. 'This is so fucking wrong,' I thought as I quickly tried to get away from him. "Jared this is so wrong. Billie left because he thinks you and I have a relationship," I said slowly, but with a little sadness in my voice. I was sad about Billie, but I was sad about Jared too. 'He wants me and I think I want him,' I pondered to myself. Did I want Jared more than Billie? Or was this some little fling? I hopped out of the little green chair. I started to head towards the door to go back to my room.
"Where are you staying," Jared asked me quickly. I stopped. 'Where am I staying? I'm not going back to my room,' I thought. I searched my mind for an idea. 'Mike and Brittany? Like they'll even open the door if they saw it was me. Maggie and Tre? Oh hell no! Not after what just happened.' I stopped thinking. 'I have no place to stay,' I thought as new tears started to fog my vision.
"Um," I said as I wiped away a few stray tears, "I don't know."
"You can stay here if you want," Jared said as he stood up from the chair. "I mean you can use the bed and I could sleep on the chair." I smiled. 'He is just like Billie Joe,' I thought. 'He stumbles over what he means and everything.'
"Jared I wouldn't want to put you out," I told him thoughtfully.
"You've been through a lot tonight. The least I could do is loan you a place to sleep. Oh and you wouldn't be putting me out," Jared whispered as he grasped my waist tightly. I pulled him off me. He walked over to the chair and curled up in it. He closed his eyes.
"Jared you can come sleep with me in the bed. I don't want you to have to sleep in the chair," I said as I grabbed his hand. His eyes shot open. I pulled him out of the chair and led him over to the bed.
